* Wednesday was a rest day.

Thursday I had a friend over we we spent all evening setting up interior Gothmas decorations. The window lights and balls are up, as re the trees and Halloween town. We will need to do the bigger decorations another time. They arrived early, so I missed food, second meds, and lungs. We worked five or six hours (me sitting down and doing the easy buts, like threading wires through the ball tops.) I didn't get to eat until eleven, and by the time lungs were done, my body threw a spasm fit for an hour. I didn't get to the computer until around 12:40ish AM. I'll do what I can, but I was already behind from Wednesday.

Livia let the guest see her, but panicked after a bit. Still this is a lot of progress for her.

* Squirrel had a thing Friday, and I needed to do errands after so i stayed up and we combined them. I was too tired for forage and the fridge is alarmingly bare of perishables as a result, since I haven't been up to it in over a week. I did order my flat of tourkey gravy while I was out at least, but I can tell food is going to be super tight this month. The Imperial couple and I stayed in bed and did pettins and group naps in between me reading, on the theory that I was going to need a fuckload of spoons the next three days. Saturday and Sunday are dedicated to cleaning and bureaucracy in advance of Sunday's inspection.

A friend came to help and we got a lot done. I now have a pile of essential paperwork, less the things that did not come in time since I only had a weekish lead time. They are coming tomorrow for phase two. I am still super low spoon (plus I'm still having trouble bending, plus I tend to get dizzy and out of breath), so I've assigned myself jobs I can sit for like the bureaucracy prep and the sorting.

* It's been nightmarishly hot and humid the last couple days. It broke rather dramatically a little after 9:30PM Saturday night. By dramatic, I mean loud close lightning with no warning and the kind of downpour we used to get in Annapolis, but which is rare here. I could hear Grad students screaming who were caught in it unaware. It sounded surprisingly like a battle had broken out with the thunder so loud and close and almost continuous. Our lights flickered, but haven't gone out yet. I lit a candle as a precaution, as it's common for trees to knock down power lines in strong storms and it could hit a transformer.

I'm going to close things out fast as I can, because I'm tired and headachey from cleaning/bureaucracy, and I'd rather just go to bed if the power goes.

This is the first of the Autumn storms, the sudden cool is relief and delight, even if it is a little alarming to have the lighting so close so long.

* Monday I combined my foraging and errands with taking a friend on hers. It was a good visit and a productive trip, but it copletely thrashed me physically. Among other things after I got home I coughed so long and hard I burst a blood vessel in my eye and nearly passed out few times. The pin is also winning and I'm having trouble using my right arm amoung other pain related and AS function related problems. I'm struggling with subsistance basics despite heavy medication.

I tried going with out sofa foil Monday night, but she peed all over the sofa, so we're back to foil plus litterbox. The elder kitties are now using the sofa litterbox too and have taken to mesting in the foil.

I'm supposed to forage Wednesday if I'm well enough to drive. We'll see.
