* Friday I discovered that I am now dangerously allergic to Cantaloupe. My throat didn't close all the way, so I didn't die, but the swelling in my mouth was scary and bad things happened in my throat. I appear to be also reactive to honeydew and cucumber, though not to that extent. Sigh. More beloved foods lost forever. I spent the weekend trying to recover. There is still a bad patch at the back of my mouth and I'm still tired and generally ick, butt this is nuisance level from a chronic pain perspective.

Monday was disability assessment, which I had completely forgotten. Luckily I had just gotten back from the bathroom as it's super long. Normally I like to be at my desk where I have better access for things like checking my meds, since I have the bottles there for the dailies instead of just presort med trays and emergency PRN bottles.

Tuesday, I spent a stupid amount of time at the Seelie dentist. We have a good mold, and they sealed my tooth, and replaced my temp with a preliminary. It is the same amount of be super careful what and how one eats, but now if I fuck up I don't get a second root canal (not covered), I just get pain and have to go in for a replacement preliminary. I'm going to try not to fuck up, but the stakes being lower is a huge fucking help. They kept remarking on what a good/easy patient I am. I have no anxiety and mostly just meditate unless they need me to do something.

Did I mention Seelie Dentist’s intake form had a section right under legal name for preferred name and pronouns and they were all super polite and seemed really competent. 10/10 would recommend and I’d make them my regular dentist if I weren’t already a patient at poverty clinic, where they also are super good with trans patients.
I got back just in time to see if Head Millennial wanted pick up. (I usually collect them downtown and we do errands on Wednesdays, but he was meant to take the bus as I had no clue how long crown preliminary would take). It was cool in the morning, but melting hot in the late afternoon, and we were dishrags by the time we got back to the air conditioning, so I told them to do bare minimum after their break and took them home.
