So not only was the man they murdered completely innocent and there was zero reason to suspect him of any crimes before they brutally attacked and choked him to unconsciousness even though he wasn't resisting as he plead for his life, the paramedics agreed with the police that him telling them he couldn't breath constituted agitation, so even though he'd been choked they injected him with a dangerously massive dose of anesthetic despite him being in no condition to resist and had shown no signs of doing so up until that point.

They gave him a lethal injection to punish him for walking home from a store while black.

No reason to charge anyone my ass.

* It's up and down with the arm thing. Typing really hurts, which is messing with my work flow in expected ways. Being able to isolate that as a co-factor with things like sleeping is helpful, as it means I can experiment with mitigation methods.

I was up at the right time to go for Library curbside pick up Monday, but it took a ridiculously long time to get my arm functional, and by the time I got medicated and dressed I'd missed my window. I did go Tuesday, despite it being almost as bad.

On the way home I had to go to the Dollar Store. There was nothing for it. Millenials could not find a substitute in the places they go and I haven't worked out a work around. I have been dreading this for weeks, having heard horror stories from other cities. It was surprisingly good. They had a sign up requiring masks. The employees were all wearing theirs correctly (I've heard reports from a locals that in a number of places grocery workers were rendering theirs useless by not covering their noses) as were the people I saw shopping. They were all keeping their distance and obeying the spacers. Checkout had the floor markers and a much bigger clear screen to protect the worker. I was in and out fast, since I know where they keep the thing I needed and no fucking way was I staying longer than I had to.

That's two high risk activities this week. I've mostly been able to avoid such since March, but here we are.

The pain was so bad just from this trip I lay on the sofa crying for half an hour before I could get it together to get water and emergency pain meds. (Note: My regular meds are safe to drive on; emergency meds aren't, hence me not taking them before i left. I don't want you thinking I drive on the PRNs.)

See, I need one arm for walking, which means carrying books and purchase in the other. This is no win when the arm is so damaged I spend half my evenings using that crappy emergency child sized sling that was the only one in stock several years ago when I needed one right then. I don't need the immobilization, but i do need the support, so I'm sticking my arm through crosswise to protect the shoulder. It hurts my other shoulder and is not comfortable for the arm, but it helps for the non-typing intensive things I do, like reading and link work.
