* Wednesday: I came out to get ready for forage and found Elder Kitty had had a wee blerp where I need to sit to do shoes. I thought, I could fold this back to sit and recover it before I leave, but decided, as I was only going for a couple of hours, it was likely worth the gamble, and the wash cycle on cold and delicate take ages, especially with presoak. Bwahahahaha! No. She'd done an identical blerp in the same spot while I was gone. Which was about to turn into a saga.
My foot was doing a lot better and the tape had to come of because bah, so I left it of for the night with the intention of taping it up for forage before I left. Bwahahaha! No. I'd gimped most of he way to the car by the time I remembered and I had he suspicion if I sat down, took coat, shoes and socks off, futzed with the foot etc., I'd lose momentum.
Ah! I thought. A short line, I thought. Good for my foot. Bwahahaha! No. They had rearranged forage so most of the wait had no option to sit, but it was al hidden inside. I was as efficient as possible, but it was already bad by the time I was done.
While in line, I realized my reading material had gone awol. I figured out it was probably at he lab from the blood work. So I spent about twenty minutes there between waiting for the phlebotomist to free up and for her to search. She found it! Thus saving me half an hour waiting for a chance at the clinic lost and found.
Well, I thought, I need to check library anyway. I was getting back in my car when i remembered I needed to cpy my tax return for the bureaucracy that turned up Monday. But since I had been planning to go to the good grocery store and i hadn't a pharmacy pick up, i hadn't planned to come this way, so the back pack full of bureaucracy including the tax return was at home. Sigh.
Then up the Guide through the center of town which sucks this time of day, hence me usually doing only one of these loops on a given day. I only needed a handful of things, but half of them were in the very back, and lines were huge to check out and...my foot was completely fucked at this point, and i still had to hobble to the car and get the groceries in (with squirrel), and put them away and...
I set dinner up in a way that I had time to do a whole lung treatment before it needed me to futz with it, which was about the time left on the spin. I dumped the second soiled pee cover in the bathroom and settle in to lung and watch Project Blue Book on the sofa. At some point Squirrel wandered out and started doing stuff behind me. I assumed food. Bwahahaha! No. See the washer had likely just turned itself off after finishing. He moved second pee cover out of the way and rather than check to see if there were wet clothes in the washer even though there were a bunch of tell tale signs I was using it (dirty pee cover waiting a turn, washing closet doors open. Stuff I have to store on top of the washer for renovations moved out of the way, ashing machine lid closed instead of open to use as a hamper, wet in the bottom flattened out as if it had just been through a pee cycle) or ask me if i was doing laundry, he tossed his stuff in and started the laundry. On high heat, with a pee guard in there needing cold.
I only discovered this when he wandered out and after having me explain was I was watching (It's conversation, not interrogation. I often watch things he might like, and he often forgets that I explained whatever how recently since hes also bad a names, so I am good at non-spoilery synopsis and mini-revues tailored to help him decide if it's a thing he'd like), casually mentioned that there wasn't the room for the sofa cover with his blankets. Me: Did you put my laundry in the dryer? *facepalm* So I had to restart the thing at the right temp which meant another hour plus. If he'd pulled my stuff first, his could have been done in half an hour from the point when I went into check. (It's an energy saving thing).
He came out early in the rinse cycle wanting to know if it was in the dryer. Me, it's another half an hour; it's in rinse cycle. He insisted, so he tried rooting around in there when the drum was full of water. Gave up. Let me restart it. His trousers will only have a half hour to forty five minute to dry before work. Like, if he'd pulled my laundry? Fine. If he'd brought his laundry out right after helping me bring groceries in? He'd have seen it was mid-wash cycle. Now? The only pair of work trousers he has that don't need mending to wear get 1/2 an hour to 45 minutes of drying in a slow, energy efficient dryer.
Seriously, I love the energy efficient appliances, but they require a certain amount of either advance planning or attention to detail. My forte. Squirrel's Achilleus' heel. This is a man who routinely send pockets full of stuff through because he never thinks to check his pockets before taking trousers off.
