* I've been working with a system where I wash the pee cover when I get up and do layers of blankets and towels while it washes, changing them every tie she goes so they don't soak through. It ends up being about three loads a night. It's exhausting and I feel bad about how much water I'm wasting, but I'm really not doing well physically. I started to get better on the antibiotic, but then I back slid. Don't worry, I'm still doing the full ten days. I can't tell how much of the exhausted and ill is pathogen, allergen, antibiotic sickness, the heat, the punishing level of housework, the cat stress, the news stress, but I'm basically not able to get it together until after sun down, which tends to be late in this latitude. I've been down to once a week forage, which isn't enough with pickings so slim.

I am waiting for money to move into a form I can use to buy the special cat food. It wasn't there Monday, but it will be soon, I think. I want to thank everyone who contributed to the save Livia Kitten fund. My balance went 3.03 negative briefly because of the vet visit, but a paypal deposit rescued it same day so I didn't end up in an overdraft fee spiral. Adding in the pleasant surprise I woke to in my mail today, we should be able to handle this.

She's still peeing blood and blerping a little, but I think today there was less blood. (She did not go in the tub today which makes it more of a guesstimate). I know she had a good box pee this evening. I figure as long as she's eating and peeing, and behaving more like herself it's okay. I am still terrified. she on her part is scared I'm going to pill her even though we are done here meds course, poor beastie, and has had to pioneer some new safer feeling pettin locations. They all really are eating the goosh at a good clip.

I feel like I'm under siege and I'm falling behind on basic housework. The tanks all need changing, the floors all need a sweep and mop. Stupid things like that. I have been running out of essentials because I couldn't handle grocery shopping in the heat. Squirrel didn't work tonight and got the car back before midnight, so I did some night shopping up at the cheapy. They don't carry a bunch of things I need, but I got a hundred dollars of staples and perishables, including a bunch of easy to make protein.

At this spoon level, every step has a price, every time I bend over has a price.

I pushed as hard as I could to get through backlog this week end. I stayed up into morning heat and noise from the landscapers filling my apartment with lung choking allergens. I still found myself staring at an impossibly large pile of last Monday's news links.

I must apologize again on falling down on the news posting. We're at a hard physical limit here. I am trying. I really am.

Remember when there used to be slow news cycles? When things got fairly quiet in late December and for August Congressional recess? I fucking miss that. I miss having someone competent in the White House actually intelligent and diligent enough for the job. I miss when there wasn't an unrelenting firehouse of horror and sewage bursting out of D.C. 24/7. I need a vacation. I'm not getting one.
