* It got to be midnight and the third reboot of the night and I decided that rather than wrestle through another round of nonsense, I'd just bath and go to bed. Tavy knows the routine well, and realized that he was About to Be Locked Out for the night! So being a clever beastie, he ensconced himself on the bed where he is accustomed to await my arrival for his before bedtime play. He looked so smug when I arrived for getting ready for bed witch over. Hu-mon outwitted! Emperor Octavian ascendant! Livia looked up at the bed, where she saw him leap, and my aproach. I could she the thoughts in her head as she considered a return to her closet hide, and caught the exact moment she decided, "Fuck this, I'm outie!" From my perspective this was all to the good. Empress Livia needed some alone exploration time in the main areas. She already had an array of hides out there and knew where food, water, and litter were.

I moved the gargoyle that holds the door open and locked Tavy in with me. This was not immediately obvious to him, as the second gargoyle is normally in place to keep the door closing all the way, thus allowing free feline passage, and my closing the airlock curtain is a normal part of the getting ready for bed procedure. The difference between fully closed and paw width open is fairly subtle. I did the normal small bits and bobs and climbed in to play wrigglers with Tavy. He was pretty worn out from free roaming with Livia time and soon was ready for his last prowl before bed. At which point he discovered he was locked in! Oh the horror! So much howl! So many scratchings at the door! Heartless hu-mon simply finished up things like meds and went to sleep.

Eventually, of course, I got up for a bethroom run. Tavy is young, fast, stubborn, and intelligent. He's also dark brown and I never bother with lights until I reach the actual bathroom. There was no putting the cat back in the bag, as it were. there was a half hour of excitement. As her only vocalization so far is a teeny tiny squeak and she is super stealthy silent in motion, it was his half of the conversation and him bumbling around I could here, with the pauses for her unheard by me from my bedroom counter attacks. Periodically, the excitement would re-erupt throughout the night, but it was that half play, half aggressive sort of stuff that cats living in colonies do to work out their social stuff, which I am used to from having decades of cat clowder experience. No one sounded distressed, cornered, or scared, so no need to intervene. Eventually around mid-morning he crashed out hard on top of me and I was eventually forced to dislodge him as I was done reading and my hips really needed me to move. Before that though? Cuddle naps and pettins, and scritchins and the rubbing of faces. he seemed to be trying to make up for the nights of separation, poor beastie.

She is out and about when she wants to be. She's a very good eater, which doesn't surprise me. she's big for her age, very active, and has a ton of growing to do. She's still not wanting me to touch her, though she will touch me. She not only let Squirrel see her, but she and Tavy played around his feet, using him as terrain for ambushes.

I've moved the litter out of my room as there is no need for alone time at this point, and thus some normalcy is reasserting itself, although the livingroom's going to be a mess until I get phase three properly sorted and squared away.

* Sigh. I logged on at 4PM. At 9PM I was on my forth r4eboot and tumblr still wouldn't let me log into tumblr. I fucking hate whatever microsoft put in their update and whatever is conflicting with the stupid ass firefox update. It's screwed up my whole evening. I was hoping to rp over on Game of Bones, but there is no point in trying with the constant reboots.

* Is there anyway to go back to the previous version of Firefox? The new update is significantly more work for me to use as it is hard to use with my disabilities, extremely buggy and prone to freezing my computer every hour or two, loses a bunch of my work on every reboot meaning I have to spend 15 mins to half an hour redoing what it lost out of the 1-2 hour window of usability, and every time I open a new tab and go somewhere the home page stays stacked instead of sensibly disappearing which means I'm going to have to transfer my entire frequently used links set into an email so I can frigging get it to open cleanly. Reverting would be dramatically less use if there were a way to do it.

* Firefox forced me to reboot at 5:30AM because it slowed to a useless fucking crawl. I lost at least a half hour of work. I spent 15 minutes redoing it. It is now 6:18AM. I just rebooted and lost everything I did since I redid all the stuff it lost last time!

WHY THE FUCK DID THEY THINK THIS UPDATE WAS A GOOD IDEA!!!! WHO THE FUCK WANTS TO HAVE TO REBOOT EVERY HOUR AND DO EVERY FUCKING THING TWICE!!!!
