* Livia has discovered she is bigger and stronger than Tavy. She defended her favorite perch from him by herself last night instead of me having to remove him. She growled and batted him without claws every time he tried to take a liberty and eventually he went away. She washed her face like a superhero then gave me the blinky eyes and settled down to enjoy it peacefully.

* Wednesday a friend came over and we spent all evening cleaning. She focused on the floors and I dismantled the storage shelves. I think Squirrel must have come home not long after the accident, as it could easily have been a hundred times worse. It miraculously didn't seep into the hall closet. It got under the storage shelves, but not nearly as badly as i expected and didn't reach Squirrel's meat freezer at all. There was splash and drip everywhere, and I'm still finding lost spots, but the smell is gone and it is pretty well sorted. There is still plaster dust on fr too many surfaces, but my floors are clean.

Given the scale of the Disaster it would have taken me days to clean by myself. As it was Squirrel's quick action and my mop wielding friend really did save us all.

Not surprisingly, the pain level is stunning. I will do my best to make a dent in the last couple days of news, but I'm heavily medicated so quality may be not up to snuff.
