* I love that Melissa Harris-Perry routinely calls out the transphobia in statements like "Men don't have babies." MHP: "Look it up! They have!" It may seem like a small thing to cis folk, but it matters that she does it every time and not just on trans issue shows or when trans folk are in the room..

* Greenwick and I cleared more stuff out to the new apartment storage unit. It turned out the good looking 30ish Ukranian giant doing installation Friday had enough time to start laying the living room floor. (Seriously, he was at least a foot taller than me). I can tell it's laminate, not hardwood, but it looks good. I have faith in them finishing Monday, given how far that guy got on his own. The living room here looks a little naked with three book shelves gone and most of what was left on the remaining shelves emptying out. (The good shelf is in the new place, and the unfinished shelf is getting painted before it goes over. One of the collapsible particle board ones went home with Greenwick, so they can use it in their new space at the flea market. I plan to buy ceiling high book cases to fit available space at the end of the move. Squirrel gets first pick of my collapsibles and then Greenwick and Djinni will get the rest.

* RP: Seeking Snakes:

They sent cockroaches to check out the trap door in the tainted bath house. They reported a room with a box with a dead thing in it and four humans chained to the walls. There was a sewer entrance as well a the trap. The pack opted to go Umbrally through the sewer with rat guides so they could fly without touching sewage and avoid any Tellurian side traps. They found the secret door, but they were pretty sure it was trapped and there was a specific sequence of bricks to hit. Fumiko decided to see if there were any spirits in the thousand year old sewer who might know how to get in without hurting em selves. Thus they discovered the "Crap Croc," a crocodile made entirely of the sort of effluvia you find in a sewer that's been in continuous use for a millennium. It wanted to eat Fumiko, who was clearly delicious and ull of Tass, but they managed to talk her into accepting a goat to be supplied later. She showed them the sequence, which they would not have guessed as there was repetition. The humans were clearly snacks and mostly ignorant, so they freed them. They chained the sarcophagus closed and set it on far, releasing much toxic smoke. They did hear screams though, so they were pretty sure a vampire was in there. (They didn't check before burning). They raked through the coals later to find some small things which they looted.

They had baths, then split into two teams to stake out the snack bar and sewer entrances. (They bribed the Crap Croc with a second goat). A vampire did come to see why the vampire they burned didn't sh up for a meeting, but it was in the snack bar with witnesses. He opened the trap and the horrible smell of burnt vampire and shellac billowed out. He closed and locked it. They tried to follow him, but he disappeared in an alley. The snack bar ghouls decided they did not want to be there if whatever killed the vampire came boiling out of the sewers, so they packed up and headed home. Skull followed them to one of the buildings on Tiger's list. This was a relief as they were not sure whether the Old Court Vampires were lying to them. (They could just as easily handed the pack a list of kinfolk to kill. Don't think I wasn't tempted). Skull listed in to a ghoul meeting. The ghouls were terrified The mistress and the Masters would take out their anger on them. Skull tried a Purification. After the meeting, two ghouls packed their things and tried to escape. She intercepted them and took them somewhere safe for questioning. They were fairly recent ghouls of local manufacture, and finding themselves freed were terrified and horrified in equal measure. The confirmed that the list was of contacts, businesses, or safe houses connected to the Mistress and the Masters, but that there were more. They gave two locations where vampires often were besides the bathhouse. One was a warehouse from the list and another was a small run down house that wasn't. They gave the soon to be jonesing ghouls over to the Striders to be smuggled away to safety.

The Strider pack came along to help them with surveillance on the two addresses. There was movement in the house but little to be seen from outside. The warehouse was a happening place with two vampires supervising. They spotted a shipment of parasite eggs. Gwallog knocked out the human and Skull torched the cart after they freed the mule. They decided the warehouse needed to go. Fumiko slipped inside through a whole too small to be trapped and found a sewer trap. They placed Striders in the sewer and as back up on the two warehouse exits with packmates. Skull doused everything with God mead and set it on fire. Fumiko attacked a vampire, wounding it and getting a blood sample before fleeing to the Umbra. This vampire was allowed to leave so the Striders could follow it to ground even if it disappeared using the blood sample. Blake killed the other as it was one of the ones he chased and lost at the bath house.

They knew there were at least seven snake vampires in Cordoba. Now there are at least four.

Next week, both Vampire players are gone, so we expect to do Tiger's menagerie raid instead of Snake hunting.

It turns out that everyone loves a Crap Croc. ;)
