* RP: Bwahahahahahaha Edition:

They got the approximate locations for the High Guild pay masters and the Shifter and kin drop off warehouse from the captive artificer. A while later an upper middle class neighborhood burned the freed elemental set the fire. The Garou got some city guardians to protect Skull and on Blake's urging, she talked the molten elemental down They got confirmation for the warehouse location, then helped the molten elemental track it's kin and free them. The elementals all went off to hide in a volcano lest they be imprisoned again. Meanwhile, Shepard snuck into the burning High Guild hall with magical protection and using the stealth cloak. He found their library and counting house. In the counting house he found coded ledgers for the Sunlight Society's finances. He stole a coffer full of coin and jewels, and a trunk of books, big enough to also put the ledgers and coffer in. He snuck away while the mages were worn out from putting out the fire. One of the books is so obviously dangerous, he has wrapped it in canvass and tied it tight and is wearing it like back pack for fear of someone reading it. Skull Gazer is so tempted by the book.

The next morning, Shepard took the ledgers to the Celestial and Hermetic Greens as knowing who was paying in and paid by the sunlight Society would let them undermine the finances of the enemy. Meanwhile, the Garou were attacked by assassins armed with magic and silver. They escaped with Fu Long's help. Part of the sports bar burned. The pack relocated to the area near the message drop, where they found a quiet inn intended for middle class business travelers. It was clear they needed to move fast to crush the SLS before the SLS killed them. They spent the afternoon finding and organizing a raid on the warehouse. The Green Mages, the Garou and Bastet were easy. Blake had discovered a spy following him and on questioning discovered that the beggar served a vampire who wanted Blake to stop the SLS. He told him to tell his master about the raid. Skull and Shepard went down by the docks letting Gwallog and Mildeburg know where they were staying now and to heal the rest of her wounds. She spotted a woman on the Docks who was sort of like a Shifter and sort of not. Shepard gave her a gift and they told her their tale. She said she would send her children, who had sharp teeth, and dove into the sea.

The sports bar burning and Mage interference started a hooligan riot between the Green and Blue sports fans, who were worked up, it being game day. The riots carried on into the night, which helped cover the twilight raid on the warehouse. Skull started the battle with a glorious howl. Robots and mages poured out of the warehouse. Garou, Bastet, Rokea, and a Mokole ran to meet them. Mages vs. Mages; vampires vs vampires, manifest spirits, and Sea Monsters crawled up on land all added to the chaos as something ripped off the roof. Mind Mages and Dementation enabled Malkavians caused people to change sides and fight their friends. It was blood soaked chaos! Our guys grabbed a Hermetic good at Unweaving and made their way to where the Shifters and kin were held captive. Shepard held the door while the Mage unwove magelocks and the Garou broke cages and locks. A Rokea joined them in breaking people out, and made a new exit in the wall. The Shifters joined the battle, the warehouse burned. Our guys led the Kin to safety, pairing up stranded travelers with locals for temporary housing.

The next day Blake got a note from "M. F." asking, "What of the mutilated?" None of the folks they freed had mutilations suggesting experiments. The Garou checked in with the Striders, who had captured and drugged a Mage. Our guys went to help interrogate her. She was a Cosian, and said very, very scary things about grafting monsters and them all being dead and the plague rats being loose and sacrifice and tricks. Blake met up with the beggar ghoul, to try to get help from the Nosferatu, who was asleep, but he passed the message to the head ghoul. The Beggar Ghoul took him to meet a Ratkin, but who came once Blake explained things. Shepard got the Ecstatic who was his friend to take a look He penetrated he mind shield and found out what was going on. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," he told them, before explaining to them that they may all be infected with a deadly shifter plague the SLS was brewing in their labs. Fearing Shifter attack after the raid on the giant collector robots, they put infected kinfolk back into the cages at the holding facility. The contagion was spread through touch, body fluids, and droplets. It was mutated out of the Ratkin Plague, but grafted with other diseases. Oh, and they really had made Franken monsters out of Shifters as well. The Ecstatic Contacted mages with Mind Speech to close down the Port and City Gates to try to slow the plague. He popped off to try to mobilize a stronger response from the Court mages and friendly Cosians. Our pack could already be infected. The Shifters they freed might be infected. The families of the kinfolk they freed might already be carried as may of the kinfolk they freed were.

Seriously, folks, I spontaneously gave off an evil mad scientist laugh at least twice in the course of the game. It's been ages since I've done something this wicked to a collection of players.

* Glee 4.4-Part of 5:

It was nice seeing Becky at the end of three. (I hadn't seen her scene before writing this up.) Sometthing I really appreciate about Season Four is the way they are gradually introducing new characters and reintroducing old ones. Despite the massive amount of ground to cover, I find this less overwhelming than season three, where it was harder for me to really take in or connect to the new additions, even though I think there were few of them.

The Break-Up: Ouch. OMG, Ouch. Frankly, you disappear on me for four months and won't answer calls or texts? You do not get to act like you are the wounded party if I eventually move on. Rachel just kissed Brody; I'd have fucked him repeatedly by that point. I am agnostic on Brody though, as he is not aware of the circumstances so him pursuing her aggressively given what little she'd said about Finn is not entirely cool, but theoretically, she could have said more off screen, which changes the ethical balance, so I reserve judgement. BTW, Finn's half of the duet with Blaine looked so much like Giles singing "I'm standing in her way" that I kept expecting someone to do flips in the background. It was so good to see Santana again, and as much as it hurts, the break up is clearly the right thing here.

Blaine, oh Blaine. I kept thinking of "Cough Syrup" watching him this season. If "Teenaged Dream" wasn't a cry for help, I don't know what is. It says something about what Kurt has learned from Karofsky is that unlike "Cough Syrup," he had the wisdom to call him on it and insist on knowing what was wrong. He was too hurt to reach across, which I completely understand, but I am genuinely scared for Blaine, whose pain is so raw and who has no real anchor right now.

The Role You Were Born to Play (I did not have time to finish before game): Blaine and Finn are just so far adrift. I do not understand why people think Mr. Criss can't act, because his performances in both this and the previous episode where multi-leveled and really vulnerable. Again, Watching Mr. Monteith's performance here, in light of his real life stuff. Oh God, ouch. It all feels intense in ways I doubt it was for the first audience.

When I saw Mike and Mercedes? I swear I was actually beaming. I missed them both so much and it was just so good to see them. Also, I am having complex thoughts about the Grease casting that I need to think further about.

I did not think it was possible to hate Mr. Shue more than I already did in Season 3. I was so wrong. I can barely look at him when he's onscreen and I just want him to go away. Emma deserves so much better. I wish she'd leave him for good. He's so bad for her and too her, selfish with her the way he is with his students.

Mine: How do you know it's the end of the world? The Dominicans teach, the Franciscans preach, and Jesuits are Catholic.
