* TW: Pet Death. I am currently needing 10-14 hours of sleep a day, plus extra time to get all my limbs properly working, which really cuts into my ability to accomplish things. On top of that, I've been battling ich in two tanks. The blue colony is down to one fish, but the last death was three days ago and today the last girl ate. I tried catching her last night to move her to the other sick tank where she'd have fish to school with, but she was too good at hiding and I didn't want to stress her with the hunt, so gave up. Unfortunately the pleco in the office 30 died. There are still some live platys in there. I haven't seen the whiptail today, but that means nothing. Both the pleco and the whiptail looked fine yesterday, so that neans nothing. On the up side, half the 30 light array is working as of today, so I can stop rotating lights. Its only half the amount of light recommended for a tank that size, but it's not like using a twenty light was any better really. Plecos and guppies die all the time. It's sad, but it's not like one can get attached to a hundred or so of them. The loss of the last pleco is heartbreaking though. I am watching the other two tanks closely, but they seem healthy. *digits cruciform*
* Sometimes I like to imagine Henry VI of England, Charles VI of France, Charles II of Spain, and Louis XVI of France living in a large rambling cottage in the country somewhere with someone to look after the cooking. They would each have their own room and space for their interests. Henry could herd a small flock of sheep and Louis could make keys. Every one would be careful not to touch Charles VI, and the cook could make soft foods for Charles II. Everyone would be kind to each other and none of them would be asked to deal with things like war and politics and they would be so much happier than they were in life.
Henry VI in particular just breaks my heart every damned time.
