* I've been a low grade exhausting sort of sick for a couple of weeks. I took a bad turn in my sleep this morning and woke up suffocating, which hasn't happened in a while. Luckily, it has happened often enough that I have the procedure down. Unfortunately once I got breathing going again I had one of those brutal hour long ravage the body hour long coughing fits where every breath is another cough. I used all my mother's tricks and my own, including the one of hers I loathe on every level and the two of mine she physically couldn't have done for medical reasons. I did finally manage to restore reasonable breathing and sleep, only to be awakened half an hour later by a debt collector to hassle me about $5.22 a doctor had sold on to them instead of sending a final notice. Really? Like, really? Five dollars and change? Me: send me a bill. I don't pay people anything over the phone because, no offense, I have no proof you are who you say you are. The whole rolling over to answer the phone thing started me coughing up lung chunks again, I lost another two hours of sleep and tore something (luckily small) in my back. For five dollars. *head desk* The fever's up this evening and my lungs are rotten. I need to start the talking them into antibiotics drama again.
