* They have fired the Officer who murdered Walter Scott, though they are letting the murderer's 8 months pregnant wife to keep her insurance, and arrested him. It's looking like police ignored all the bystander statements saying that Walter Scott was fleeing in terror, not attacking until the media got involved. The Murderous officer's first lawyer has quit the case.

* So Wednesday I pretty much spent all evening doing up ebays, which just became super important as today I discovered that there is forty dollars less than there out to be in my bank account so now it's not just dish detergent and cat food it needs to pay for, but also car insurance. I got three minimum bids right away on the partial lots, so I have hopes of covering car insurance. *fingers crossed for cat food and dish detergent*

Today I spotted live fish in the back up twenty, clearly fry that hitched a ride in the plants during the great tank crisis. This made the fish heater crisis critical. I had exactly enough left on my credit card to buy a betta tank heater, so I could yank the heater that was too big for a betta tank but the only one I had for the back up twenty and there is now a good small heater in Niran's tank. I managed to scavenge enough bulbs and old lighting from smaller tanks to cover the two key tanks, one of which was not doing well with only a betta light since I set it up during the tank emergency (The plant health was suffering which was cutting down on the fry survival rate), and the office tank that had a bulb burn out. This is a huge help. Niran betta fish doesn't have his own light, as I hadn't enough working bulbs, but he's been sharing with the back up twenty anyway for weeks with no problems. It freaksme out that we haven't any back ups at all and that I'm having to use an extra betta light on the office tank since I was short a 20 watt aquatic, but everyone is now getting what looks like enough light. The two tall twenties (and Niran Betta Fish) are still sharing lights because I can't afford bulbs, but that is a bearable situation for me and them. I still need to catch more fish from the office to put in the livingroom splinter colonies to go with the volunteer fry there. I still need to save up for some more cheap fish so the live bearer colonies don't get too inbred, and restart the corys as there are hardly any left, and somehow come up for money for bulbs for the back up twenty's light, an office bulb, and a back up each of the 10, 15, and 20's, but I don't see the lighting crisis getting solved this year, but it's nice to dream.

I am still not sure where I am getting Property tax money from by the end of the month, after all.

Still, surprise window platys colony! It is so exciting to see the fish mostly thriving despite adversity.

Also, I blew all my remaining EBT today on lettuce and tomato starts, since they are mostly doing small stuff out there that hopefully won't ruin anymore of my containers. I still need replacements for two of the larger containers construction workers smashed, but I had space for this batch of starts and room for at least one of the other two things I want to plant later in the season when there is EBT to spend again. The lilies are in the bushy greens phase, so I've hopes for nice flowers. Strawberries and sage survived "winter" and the rosemary looks to be making a comeback from the construction based near death experience. I'd still like to add basil and spinach particularly next month. I'd love to try to get asparagus to take hold next year, but it's too late now and I really need a replacement largest sized container to even contemplate trying it. It is a huge comfort to have things growing out there despite the massive damage. I can not wait until I can start culling lettuce for sandwiches. I still have hopes of seeds sprouting, though no sign of it yet.

Anyway, we've now recorded two topics for the podcast with the third outlined for next time. We are now suspecting the topics are going to be two parters, but we won't know for sure until after Editing. The third topic really needs to be a two parter if not three, I'm thinking. I really want four or five topics banked (at least three edited) before posting because of my always fragile health and things like deadlines and illnesses that could happen to the other two. I hate missing deadlines myself and if we are really posting these every two weeks, I will be endlessly unnerved if there isn't a solid cushion. I've got nine more topics solidly on the list and am doing refresher reading in prep for them and some others I've got in mind.
