gwydion* Sexual assaults skyrocket on military bases. Given that they reward rape and punish rape survivors as a matter of policy, I am not surprised.
Honestly, I think they need to clean sweep all the rapists and pro-rape officers and NCOs out of the military, starting with the general who overturned that rape conviction, Ay minimum, they need to move rape investigations out of the chain of command, since asking rapists to police themselves isn't going to work.

I have taken to pulling him out and hand feeding him when I feed Hector in there. He is so thin now that Hector looks fat by comparison. He clearly needs to go back to the vet, but Squirrel blew what savings he had the first time he went, and hasn't money for a second trip if it's that expensive. My guys are accepting of him when he's out, but LM is still brutally bullying him. He simply has no resources to deal with her. The bald patches are getting bigger rather than healing. He is still drinking and I can get him to eat periodically, but I think he is failing.
* The German Blue cichlids are doing fine, though I'm having trouble getting plants to live in their tank.
* I'm still processing Paris is Burning. I am very glad I got to listen to the commentary track which has a bunch of the survivors on it. Even with all the death between then and now and the penis story I wish I hadn't heard, I found it very comforting. Why, I can't quite put into words. Of course, I'm having trouble putting the experience into words just generally.
I was supposed to start another of the suggested gay sf/f genre reads, but was composting history mostly instead. Hence no reviews.
* Tonight I ran another scene from my little ghost plot on Granite Falls. I completely failed to figure out how to do a log or make a proper plot page for it on our wiki. Whoever did the character snapshots for the individual plot pages though? Wonderful!
