* Democrats held out for everyone below a certain level of taxable income getting the checks instead of the Republican plan of not giving the poorest people anything, and insisted 45 and family can't use the money from the corporate welfare slush fund to help themselves. The Corporate Welfare slush fund theoretically has oversight now, but odds are they are going to use it so the largest corporation can inflate their stock prices by doing stock buy backs as a form of welfare for the rich. While corporations are getting free handouts that 45's officials get to dole out only to the companies 5 likes, small businesses are getting loans that will likely be very slow to disburse and that they will eventually need to pay back as Republicans are ideologically opposed to the existence of small businesses and are hoping the pandemic will drive as many as possible out of business to accelerate corporate control.

At least we got something? But not nearly enough, and mostly the republicans are using this as a scheme to do basically what they did in response to Bush's recession. Sigh.

* A Millennial dropped of provisions and amoung them was a surprise gift for the Imperial couple: an entire package of new mice to play with. They had the best time and nice nap after and they both seem to be recovered from the distress and turbulence of the renovations, which is also a great boon to Elder Kitty, who was not enjoying Tavy in his full on energizer bunny asshole cat mode. (It is not Tavy's fault. He is smol, but his emotions are huge and he can't self regulate at all when he's that upset and wound up. It's rough on the whole clowder, but it's not malicious.

In any case, things are back to normal.

In other news, it's definitely allergies, s I suspected. I used all my tricks before I went to bed and my lungs sorted themselves out. My sinuses not so much, but if it had been a pathogen, it wouldn't have responded much or at all.
