* They have arrested the man who tried to assassinate President Obama Friday. The shooter is saying Obama is the antichrist.

* The police brutally attacked the Wallstreet protest, not only beating down protesters with there batons, reporters as well, including one from a conservative news site.

The list of cities with big police crackdowns/arrests today is too long to list. The Portland news is particularly angry making, as much because I feel like Portland should know better than anything else.

DC protesters put out a policy paper, but I haven't time or energy to read it just now.

Bill O'Reilly has declared the movement dead with his usual level of accuracy. Let's prove him wrong, folks.

* Rick Perry is now claiming President Obama grew up privileged. I do not see how that makes any sense at all, what with the single parent etc.. Given how hard he had to work to get what he has achieved and the wealth and extreme privileged of nearly everyone in the Republican field.... I'm not seeing it. Romney? Sure. Not the President.

* I tried to find a clip of Colorado Senator Mike Bennet giving his list of things more popular than Congress, but the one from his youtube channel is not playing. The Seattle PI has a short list here. I wish I could show you the clip, because it is an epic smackdown: http://blog.seattlepi.com/hottopics/2011/11/17/what%E2%80%99s-more-popular-than-the-u-s-congress-almost-everything/

* Greenwick and I moved the fish today. This was a painful, exhausting, time consuming process. Poor Greenwick ended up soaked. My 3+ year old bettas who are on their last legs due to being ancient, seem to be fine, though the shock may do them in in he near future. I've seen some guppies in the 30, though there were casualties, and platys tooling about in the twenty. The least shy of the two plecos is out and about. I'll see how the pother survived once they've calmed down. The tanks needed a good cleaning anyway, as I've rather fallen down on the maintenance lately.

Tomorrow I will sleep without the alarm. Yay! (I even got to take the good pain meds). I will try to unpack key items and generally strive to sort out the kitchen. Saturday's plan depends on vehicle availability. Either way, I need to break down the rest of the kitchen except for Squirrel's stuff and some things for him to eat off of. I also need to autoclave and wash the wall hangings. Either we pack more or move more. We'll see.

When Squirrel dropped me off he had a play date with the cats. They are now all out of hiding, and though unsettled, exploring, etc.. Me: munches dinner quietly* Them: *thump! bang!* Run away! Run away! Me: *sigh* They are already taking turns locking each other in the linen cupboard.

The cats and I are clearly much better off over here.

* I have now officially reached the point where I can't back up my friends page anymore. This means some entries have fallen into a hole, and others likely will tomorrow. If it's important and it happened before, say Nov. 10th, toss me a link. If I failed to give appropriate congratulations, condolences, support, etc., it's because I simply don't know about your news yet. Apologies.

For the big tanks, we bailed out as much water as possible. Then moved fish, plants, and hides along with more water into clean buckets. (With the 30 gallon, we lifted the tank and dirt to the floor, then moved the stand as a load by itself. The 20 had a clean stand waiting already across.) We then moved the thirty tank to the new place and set it on it's stand. We poured some conditioned water in. Then we took all the buckets of fish across and put them in. We filled the rest with conditioned water. Repeat with the twenty from bailing all the way to refilling. After things settled out, I moved thing about inside the tank to approximately the original positions, put the lights up, fed them, etc.. The bettas are in 2.5 planted tans, so I bailed out half the water and they were significantly lighter than the mostly full buckets in the previous load. We lost some young fish in the process, but platys and guppies will breed to fill any available space, and there's a high fry survival rate with all that elogia.

It burned a lot of gas with the back and forth, but it worked.
