That university in Michigan was my grad school. I was not at all surprised to hear about this happening there, given the culture of the campus. Saddened, yes, but zero, zero surprise.

It's not the first time this sort of thing has made the national news , I am pretty sure. I have a vague recollection of previous incidents. It is terrible that this is where we still are in the 21st fucking century and are going backward now instead of forward.
