gwydion* At least 717 people participating in the Hajj were killed in a surge at a sacred pillar in Mecca during the pebble throwing. There are no words. My thoughts are with the families of the dead and with the injured.
* Indonesia has been burning for over a week. They haven't the water or firefighters, so it will likely to continue to burn throughout October. It's causing record high pollution in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Schools are closed in parts of Sumatra and a lot of people are sick from the smoke.
* 25 were killed by a suicide bomber at a mosque in Yemen during a service for the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

* So I got awakened early with a dental cancellation, so I'm still short sleeped, but the small cavity is now filled. Of course the new guy didn't believe me about Novocaine being way less effective on me than normal people and wearing off quickly, but he did not wait until it wore off to drill, so that's above average for a new dentist encountering my weird body response to drugs. (I'm not a red head, but I had natural auburn mixed in my chestnut before my hair started darkening with age and I have a lot of Irish blood. My theory is a red hair recessive, and red hair genes are often paired with resistance to Novocaine genes, so maybe a partially expressed resistance to Novocaine, which I'll take over immunity to Novocaine. I've had stitches and teeth drilled after the Novocaine wore off and it really fucking hurts. This guy went to work as soon as I was numb, which I'll take over the third choice which is a stronger numbing agent. The Novocaine lasted while he was working. The hygienist then set up the metal bits while he examined someone else and by the time she was done the Novocaine had started to wear off enough for me to feel out the architecture with my supposed to be still numb tongue. Once the filling was done, I commended his perfect timing what with the Novocaine wearing off, and he was all Wow! You weren't kidding! It was a minor filling and everything is fine.
I was not up to podcast, but I made pizza and I hung out with the boys. I sorted the Halloween boxes and all the outdoor stuff is piled up and ready to go on the first when I'm allowed a public display. The Interior display looks gorgeous through the front window! No wonder I was getting looks from passersby. The boxes can go back in the closet, giving me back my livingroom. I missed a small box, which I checked after they left and found the missing bat lights which belong on the top teir of the tree, so that's solved.
