His movies were such a huge part of my childhood, and he's done so many amazing things in my adulthood. I will miss him so much.

* I hadn't the energy to fight with the bank, as I'm still barely sleeping and need to lie down a lot. I did do Doctor calls. The specialist who is supposed to look into my ear situation and whether I have an endemic sinus infection is booked until July, so no immediate relief there. Sigh. The cardio appointment for the long term study is, of course, Monday, and at an awkward time.
* There are many things Ripper Street does well, but I wish the show creators had not chosen to whitewash Victorian London. Victorian London was quite diverse. White Chapel in particular was quite diverse. They try so hard for accuracy in things like period investigation techniques, class and gender dynamics. Their LGBT inclusion is not perfect, but they have it, so where are the people of African and Asian decent that historical accuracy requires? I'm not even seeing them amoung the extras.
