1. Sir Malcolm is all about the withholding of love, isn't he.
2. The werewolf's compassion for the possessed woman's struggle with her inner monster.
3. Caliban looks to me like every man who goes on a shooting rampage because he believes woman owe him sex. I can see where this is going.
4. I keep waiting for the revilation that Vanessa is Malcolm's natural daughter, because I assume that's part of the subtext.
5. The naming of people and things: Amunet/Amun-Ra, Proteus, Caliban, Lucifer, Ariel, Brona.
6. The scene where Ethan cuddles Brona in bed made me wionce over and over. She needs propping to breath better, pile up the pillows you idiot!. Stop enfolding and crushing her. She can't breathe! Cuddle gently without compressing her chest!
7. I get that Vanessa being possessed is a real emergency, but Brona is literally dying. In that more than a week they are holed up with her, who is feeding Brona soup and taking out her bed pan? Does she have pain meds? Does she know where her lover is? Is she alone up there coughing her life out? Look, I know I have above average identification with pre-antibiotic tuberculosis victims, what with my own struggle to breath and the likihood that I will drown in the fluid in my lungs one day as my mother is before me, but I could not stop thiking about Brona during the possession episode and in the end, it is Brona's medal that saves Vanessa. Ouch. So much ouch.
