* They have fast tracked a British ebola vaccine and cleared it for use in 60 volunteers against the Zaire strain currently ravaging West Africa, It's based off a chimpanzee virus that causes cold lie symptoms using an ebola virus gene that should stimulate immune response without causing serious disease. Best of luck.

* I am so tired of sick. It does not help I've been rationing medicine since the money ran out in July. I'm looking at the last few doses of two more. It does not help I lost hours of sleep to yet another assault on the walls and it is getting hot in here. I hate feeling this crap as it makes me feel fragile and emotional, which I hate with the power of a thousand suns.

I was shaky enough to spill most of an ampule of expensive lung medicine too. Also not helping.

* RP: The Deterioration of Rome:

The group presented their guide with a gift, then they checked out the Colosseum and then poked around the Catacombs, which were outside the treaty lines, though within the old bounds, so still considered rude to attack people in. They were quietly horrified by Christian Barbarity and the place gave them the creeps. Further investigation showed the place was warded to the gills and had guardian spirits in residence. This explains the place not being over run with Nosfertu.

They noticed that all the ground floor entries to the Inn were barred from the inside after dark. The next day, The guide monk and Gwallog went off to do trade related meetings, Karkann made friends with the local cats, and Fumiko made mischief. She went to corrupt the Vatican, but apparently hey were already well corrupted. She ended up having an open bar for monks at the inn instead and it was quite rowdy by lock in time. Karkann was not best pleased and helped the Inn family clean up and get folks to bed, before going off to sleep in a cat pile. gwallog decided the moinks were too drunk to bed and locked himself in to sleep. I storm was blowing in, so Fumiko went up on the roof to try to catch spirits. she discovered one of her monks passed out in the alley, out side the wardings. Went she went to check on him she found he'd been infested with the worms. Remember the worms, imported from Rome? She burned more of them and got the others to let her in. The dewormed the monk and guarded the door. The Innkeepers were not well pleased by any of this, and they needed to shift to a less nice Inn.

Gwallog took the monk to an Egyptian Jewish physician who he paid to look after the recovering monk. The cleanliness and competence impressed Gwallog. It turned out that not being jewish, he couldn't use the baths there, but he had a nice time in their market, which was also way cleaner than the Christian equivalent.
