How is there a debate? Of course it is offensive.

The way people are treating her is criminal; she’s done nothing wrong.

* I broke one of Gran's wedding china plates today. It was inevitable really. I was unwrapping the last batch and I thought there were two plates in the wrapping and there were three. It fell out the bottom before I knew it was there. I was meant to do massive unpacking tonight, but failed miserably. Instead I made a start on reading the Princess Bride for the BPAL Book Club, and puttered about doing housework.

* If you are looking for my character, Malcolm, on Game of Bones, here is the wiki for him: http://gobmush.wikidot.com/malcolm

I am currently committing to Tuesday evenings and likely Fridays and/or Saturdays.

* I had trouble sleeping last night because I forgot to garter Malcolm's hose in his descs. *facepalm* Yes, I'm that much of a geek.

* Supernatural: (Spoilers for last week's episode) Remember when Sam Winchester was intelligent? He used to be a law student. He used to do the research for the team. Remember that? Because the writers have forgotten. Now he's barely literate and needs Crowley to do his thinking for him. The dumping down of both Winchesters has been really irritating lately. First, two weeks in a row they get taken in by the same beginner's rouse of seemingly harmless person bopping them on the head from behind, which never occurred to them as a danger, I mean it's not like they've been dealing with things like shape shifters and demons for most of a decade... Oh wait, they have. Now they hear a guy talk about his collection of supernatural oddities and it never occurs to Dean that showing creep Collector that he is a Supernatural Oddity might be a bad idea. Also, discussing double crossing Crowley in front of Crowley where he can hear? Yeah. The boys used to be brighter than this and it's hard to watch.

Oh, and the addiction subplot? If you are going to half ass it, don't do it. It's a real problem for a whole lot of real people. Solving it in less than an hour trivializes it and does harm to real people who can't hand wave their problems.

I do not get Supernatural and them constantly turning their back - how many demons, vampires, werewolves etc they've fought and killed where physical appearance is NO INDICATION OF STRENGTH. You would think after 9 seasons the lesson would have sunk in and they'd know better than to turn their backs on ANYONE. How can their training, their experiences, be completely erased for the sake of plot. I think they're trying to force a connection between Sam and Crowley to balance Dean and Castiel - but it's clumsy and requires character retcon

I'm with you completely!

BTW, I loved your Dusk to Dawn Pilot review. It was way better than anything I managed to put into words and was very much how I felt about it. (I haven't seen the second just yet, so please don't tell me about it.) Anyway, I really appreciated your insights as I was having a hard time explaining my response to what they are doing in the show.
