* We moved a bunch more stuff over, including my tall dresser, which does fit where I'd hoped in my room. After Mokole game, I moved a bunch of stuff around to start making room for furniture. The kitchen is essentially finished. (I need to rearrange some stuff, but it's all unpacked). I need to do some experiments and unpack or move some things to make more room, but I have hopes of us being ready for the movers.

* Mache Update:

The tumor is growing fast. It distorts her face and nec noticeably. She's eating less and noticeably dropping weight. Everytime I give her food she gives me this hopeful look, like she's hoping I fixed it while she wasn't looking. It breaks my heart every time. As I typed this she was curled up next to me at the new work station location. I'm petting her between bits of writing. She's till enjoying her pettins and what food she can manage, but we're reaching the point where she's tired most of the time and she's starting to fade. I'm reaching the point where I have to evaluate each day if it's still worth it for her.

A few days ago I let her out on the patio to sniff around. It wasn't quite warm enough for her tastes, but she'd been wanting to see what was out there I thought I'd let her while she could still enjoy it. She was delighted to see her patio furniture was mostly there and had a good sniff of the hedges and the small plants next to path before turning back in to the warmth of out den. She looked so like herself, alert and curious.

I am having a hard time letting her go. I couldn't have asked for a better cat or companion. I have reached the point where I have a hard time holding it together when I go to buy the special wet food for her. Somehow the cans have come to symbolize her mortality.

What is Wednesday looking like for you, currently? That's looking like the day we're going to be able to head north for the day.

Lunch should work well. Say noon-ish?
