Dec. 10th, 2013 09:11 pm* It looks like Ryan and Murray agreed on a budget. O.o I am way too tired to take in the details properly, so grain of salt, but it looks crappy, though not quite as crappy as I expected. I'll look into the details tomorrow when I am able to think. It still needs to make it through the house.

* May I add that it grosses me out that people are sympathizing with LaLaurie. "The Delphine LaLaurie Rubric for Ethically Compromised Women of Color Characters (SPOILERS for last night's American Horror Story: Coven):" http://arsmarginal.wordpress.com/2013/11/21/lalaurie-test/
* I slept an hour or two, but there was no getting back to sleep after that. I gave up and started on the massive list of errands on my plate. It turned out I really needed the time, as the list kept getting longer and more complicated. I had a variety of fails in the process, but I got all but two things on the to do list done, and the things I missed were low priority. I even found people willing to sell me an air conditioner in winter and arranged for a dude to come install it Friday. (It will be easier to set up before I put the furniture in). It turned out that the epoxy in the bedrooms was still tacky yesterday, so they didn't finish the floor. When Greenwick and I dropped off the air conditioner, there was still my room and Squirrel's bedroom trim to finish tomorrow.
The bed I wanted was discontinued. The nice man phoned three warehouses trying to find one. Luckily, there was an equivalent bed I liked slightly better. Unluckily, there were none of the nightstands I was in love with to be had for love nor money. He's going to a furniture show in January, and will look for a similar set to order me out of the 2014 designs. This is disappointing, but not disastrous. My current system is functional, but unaesthetic. I am still getting the head board storage and underbed drawers and the mattress of my dreams. It will fit in my bedroom and there is free delivery and installation. Because of the holidays and associated shipping delays, it's not coming right away. They will tell me Monday when they will be ready to put it in.
I will have a grown up bed with lots of storage in a properly temperature controlled room with pretty blue walls and a floor I can mop. I'm genuinely excited. The only way this could be better is if the room was twice as big.
* My clever Mache girl had already figured out the nebulizer schedule by Sunday and has been exploiting it by ajusting her nap location so schedule so as to be "coincidentally" in exactly the right place for head scritchens and general pettins three times a day.
