* RP: 0utbreak in Constantinople:
Gwallog, not being infected, hid out in different Inn in the opposite of quarantine, so as to avoid infection. He got in touch with Tiger, who is going to be a Father. He learned how to heal disease from the Khan and asked Unicorn for help. Unicorn touched the horn owl initiation figurine. Owl took him on the fastest spirit road to Constantinople. Blake, realized that the Rokea might be infected and they go everywhere and could spread the plague world wide. He and Skull ran down to the dock to try to find someone with sea ties. They couldn't find The Mother of the Sea or any Rokea, but Skull did spot some sort of sea fae. She got his attention and he took her back to his boat. They explained the situation and he took the message to the Undersea. Quarantine went into place below as above.
Shepard asked the mages if there was a local specialist who could look into mage plague. Abbess Ariadne pointed him to Nadia's compound. Yes, that Nadia, the one who corrupted all she touched as a vampire, before becoming a human again. She's now a young woman. She broke Acrimoniously with the Celestial Chorus, and after traveling for a while, settled in Constantinople as the large vampire and mage populations made it both a reasonable place to do her experiments and somewhere she could obtain multiple source vampire blood to maintain her father. Shepard passed on the Abbess' warning about her character to Blake and Skull, and sent them to deal with her. Nadia wanted one of them for a test subject and chose blake as he could make music, while a Red Talon would have to be kept caged. She told Skull she needed another subject who was expendable so she could see the progression of the disease. Skull went to see if there were any criminals amoung the Shifter community, but anyone who broke the law here was exiled. The leader said she would sacrifice herself if no volunteer could be found. Meanwhile Nadia took samples from Blake and ran tests.
Tiger insisted on going out in the city and getting infected while in pursuit of a cure. He could cure the physical symptoms, but could not irradiate the disease entirely from the host, as it had a spiritual component. This is likely how the disease was able to infect and target shifters. Something bigger than a purely physical cure was needed. Tiger decided a purification ritual would go well with a mass purging. Nadia needed to know if humans could catch the disease, since she might have to slaughter the whole city. She infected four of her slaves. Three humans had mild infections their immune system could handle. The third got very sick, but could survive. Likely, it will kill the very old and very young and those already sick, such as lepers.
While healthy adult Shifters were mostly only experiencing mild symptoms as of yet, the children who had not yet experienced their first change were growing sick much more rapidly, lacking adult Stamina. A Strider Mother arrived at Nadia's after dark with her unconscious child. "Do whatever you like to me, but save my daughter." This being Nadia's only real weak spot, she redoubled her efforts using Blake as a Guinea Pig. Blake survived the medicine, but is toxin resistant. She was forced to try on the child, who showed improvement. She set about making large quantities. The group developed a plan where they'd get court contacts to hold a special set of night games during which medicine laced beer would e given out free. They'd pour more into the aqueducts. Shepard got a matter mage to seed clouds. Skull got the fae captain to tell the Rokea to surface at dawn for the healing. While Nadia was making the drug, Skull took Tiger to meet local Shifters. The Strider Leader gave Tiger a message from a Bubasti. Skull read the note and took Tiger to her family bookstore/scriptorum. The Proprietress took the Tiger into a secret room, clearly designed for Bastet gatherings. There she told him of a caravan with likely infected cat kin traveling South that left before the quarantine.
Gwallog and Fu Long left via the Umbra to try to bring them back, Gwallog not being infected yet. They discovered injured survivors limping back towards the city, the caravan having been mostly looted and wiped out. They tracked the bandits and captives into the hills. They rescued the kinfolk and killed all the bandits. At dawn, they did the owl purification ceremony using Tiger's initiation figurine, his healing spell, Nadia's drugs, and a symbolic flight of owls combined all to magnify each other and save the city. Skull got the fae to set up a meet between her and the Rokea warrior she fought beside so she could make sure the Sharks were healed. She had made a good impression so got to swim with sharks without being eaten.

Next up: Frakenshifters!
* Glee 4.19-22:
Sweet Dreams: I am having a hard time believing in the University of Lima as a functioning school. Massive dorm rooms, non-student roommates, Indoor property damaging slip and slide, spontaneous parties inside classrooms, Finn not being on academic probation.... You can really see how much Rachel has grown both as a person and a performer in her Funny Girl Auditions and associated plot line (I'm not remembering which bits are in which episode. I mean the entire set of episodes 19-22 here). I love it that Blaine notices Becky's distress and is mature enough to reach out to Sue to try to help Becky. (Was that this episode or next?) God, I hate Shue. That Evan thing is annoying.
Lights Out: ...And suddenly I hate Sam and Artie, as in it's hard for me to look at them the same way again. It things like this that make it hard for guys like Ryder to get help and support. I find Blaine's silence interesting as a a supporter of rm's theory about Blaine's backstory. The scene with Kitty and Ryder was excellent
Wonder-ful: I so want Mercedes to make it despite all the bullshit being flung at her. I really wanted Aretha Franklin to turn up, but I suppose that's too Faery Tale. I think it's interesting that Kitty was set up to look like Quinn, but act like Sue, but lately, she's reminding me of the way Santana grew over time. The Cassie and Rachel resolution felt right.
All or Nothing: The Ryder and Unique thing hurts and I'm just not up to talking about it in depth tonight. I honestly think the The Hoosierdaddies were better. Brittany's stuff worked for me. The Elder Lesbians had me in tears. I really appreciate Glee making it clear the ways that the marriage issue is different for someone like Blaine, who's survived violent gay bashing and grown up thinking marriage might not be a possibility than it is for straight people.
