* Seven hundred and fifty thousand people are losing their jobs as part of the republican victory over the economy. They want to remind you that they couldn't compromise, since the sequester gives them 98% of what they want. The only agreement they would take would be one that gave them a hundred present. They want to remind you that the sequester is the president's fault for giving in to Republican demands when they threatened to destroy the full faith and credit of the United States. He could easily have chosen to let them destroy the economy for a generation or more rather than give in. The Republicans want to remind you that the huge damage the sequester is going to do to ordinary people was worth it to prevent the rich from paying even a penny more into the system that serves them so well. Republicans are cheering tonight for their political victory over the president and the massive human misery and damage to the economy is worth nothing next to their point scoring. After all corporations are people, but humans aren't.
