There is a long, long history of Democrats throwing Trans People under the bus. A few years ago they did fight for us repeatedly in budget negotiations, and a lot of that was because Queer Folk and Allies called every time to tell them how important it is to keep gender affirming care accessible.

* …And when I logged on Monday Night, Dreamwidth had rolled back a week. This could easily have been worse. I'd published the aggregate. I had to clean all the non-urgent news I scaffolded eightish days ago, but that's not time consuming. The nasty bit was I lost all the tumblr programming which I then had to dig around in tumblr queue to reconstruct. Sigh.
Poor Livia needed medicating, which she Hates. I'd been putting it off for her grief, but she needed it. I zapped her in her room, and she fought like a demon. I expected her to hide for 6-10 hours, but instead she came for consolation pets like Tavy used to. She gets medicated 4-5 times a year, but Tavy was getting medicine fairly often his whole life. He'd try to avoid it, but he always came right back for cuddles after and she used to look at him like he had lost his mind, but this time she tried it and really liked it.

Poor Livia needed medicating, which she Hates. I'd been putting it off for her grief, but she needed it. I zapped her in her room, and she fought like a demon. I expected her to hide for 6-10 hours, but instead she came for consolation pets like Tavy used to. She gets medicated 4-5 times a year, but Tavy was getting medicine fairly often his whole life. He'd try to avoid it, but he always came right back for cuddles after and she used to look at him like he had lost his mind, but this time she tried it and really liked it.
