* As some of you may know we are having a lot of flooding in my area. This is the rainy season here and small amounts of flooding happen every few years. This is not that. This is large scale flooding including big patches of area that don't normally flood.
This is not normal. This is yet more of the climate crisis fucking with the local patterns.
Sunday Squirrel went out to his game and it was fine. Four hours later he was nearly cut off and trapped in a neighboring town. Luckily, the last road out was still open, though not for long.
A whole lot of communities have been cut off. Some people have been evacuated. The back bone of one of our two shopping districts is flooded. A lot of nursing homes are half staffed because people literally couldn't get there.
We are safe as of now. We are lower on the Hill than we used to be, but this part of town has excellent drainage and we are in the foothills. All of my Millenials have checked in and are safe.
I don't know how bad it's going to end up or how much will be lost.

* As some of you may know we are having a lot of flooding in my area. This is the rainy season here and small amounts of flooding happen every few years. This is not that. This is large scale flooding including big patches of area that don't normally flood.
This is not normal. This is yet more of the climate crisis fucking with the local patterns.
Sunday Squirrel went out to his game and it was fine. Four hours later he was nearly cut off and trapped in a neighboring town. Luckily, the last road out was still open, though not for long.
A whole lot of communities have been cut off. Some people have been evacuated. The back bone of one of our two shopping districts is flooded. A lot of nursing homes are half staffed because people literally couldn't get there.
We are safe as of now. We are lower on the Hill than we used to be, but this part of town has excellent drainage and we are in the foothills. All of my Millenials have checked in and are safe.
I don't know how bad it's going to end up or how much will be lost.
