Seriously, early campaign donations are the most helpful and this one is going to be long and expensive.
Don't have money, but still want to help? Volunteer. Campaigns need lots of people to do all kinds of work.
Don't have a Presidential Primary Candidate but still want to help? Try looking down ticket. Have a strong opinion about who should represent you in Congress? Volunteer or donate to them. Who represents you in your State Government is going to determine redistricting. Don't want your state so gerrymandered that you lose all your representation? Volunteer/Donate for State senators/Reps/Whatever you like. Want someone who has your values with veto power in your state? Volunteer/donate to Gubernatorial Candidate. Care about Clean water to drink, whether your Schools teach science in science class, and whether your local justice system favors mental health/drug diversion or just locking people up and taxing the poor? That's your City government.
Don't have particular candidate you like yet, but you want to help save Democracy, Civil rights, human Rights, the environment, etc.? Contact the local branch of the party and ask them what they need.
You aren't helpless, but we're running short of time to turn this mess around.

* Damn! I was literally just there to get fish food and a new cardboard scratchy thing. The Fish store was saved last time by the firewall when the feed store was gutted. They had serious water and some smoke damage, but survived. That arsonist was caught but got time served. The Feed store and the food exchange side were basically facade filled with debris. (The Fish store is named Feed and Seed. The real Feed and Seed was named Holt’s.) They still have that whole area fenced off and I was gazing at the sky through the upper story ruins wondering WTF they were going to do with the burned out shell of a historical landmark building. And now my beloved fish store burned. The scratchy things weren't where they had been so I walked through most of the store looking. I wish I'd walked through all of it, but i had so few spoons left. Fuckfuckfuck. I don't want it to be gone.

* Today my body tried to pull a soft veto, but I had a Dentist appointment and the Library couldn't wait. It was overcast and people were driving a little desperately Downtown. Everywhere was crowed. There was no close parking anywhere. My body is still not all that great. I'm well enough to drive. (It's a thing I can do sitting down that doesn't rely on the small muscles that things like, say sewing do). I was really, really not well enough to stand in a long forage line and do all the extra walking because no free close parking. To get anything close enough for walking to even pe possible involved wasting gas circling blocks. Add in my lungs keep getting worse. I think I am infected, but that the smoke/allergen situation is causing large fluctuations in function, which made the underlying up until this evening mild congestion look like left overs.
Odds are I will be fucked tomorrow, because those were tomorrow's spoons.
I am pretty sure it's bacterial. I am now trying to decide if I take the antibiotics I have from that time I started improving over the weekend instead of deteriorating, or if I try to get an appointment with a floater who won't know my file, or if I make an appointment for next month with the Good doctor. I don't think I can handle fish Store smoke if I go Walk In. Not with my lungs starting to pancake batter. Or the traffic. Or looking at the likely dead fish and lndie record store as I do past.
I am so tired. I realized last night that I've started sounding a little like a rage infected from 28 days Later. If I do this, I'll have to go off my arthritis meds for most of a week. It's really starting to feel like worth it.
Anyway, I did do library, pharmacy, bank, Pay the Small Bill, and get fish food and the replacement for the scratchy thing ruined... was it last month?
I can barely move now. I'm mostly working at the news because bed prep is exhausting and I don't relish how bad my lungs will be when I lie down.
If I get any worse in the next couple hours I'm taking the pills. I can likely get away with first dose even with the arthritis meds in my system.
The Dentist was really long. They got me in the room on time, but there was a scheduling snafu. (They scheduled me for the wrong appointment type, so the hygienist was free, but the dentist was tied up). We did a fancy new whole mouth x-ray that really fucking hurt with my AS, but the pics were fascinating. After she took that and a bunch of extra small x-rays of my front teeth, we just sat and chatted.
She was my ageish with three adult kids (the youngest barely) and amazing hair. My chart lists me trans, so she barely even did a test question before getting into politics. She too is freaked out and furious at 45.
It was get another new dentist. This one I'm dubbing "The Blond." He was quick and competent and took that thing I've been having trouble with since they did the filling in the upper right back molar seriously. He's doing a revision and the usual small cavities from my meds. This will take me into early October.

I think I am infected, but that the smoke/allergen situation is causing large fluctuations in function, which made the underlying up until this evening mild congestion look like left overs.
Odds are I will be fucked tomorrow, because those were tomorrow's spoons.
I am pretty sure it's bacterial. I am now trying to decide if I take the antibiotics I have from that time I started improving over the weekend instead of deteriorating, or if I try to get an appointment with a floater who won't know my file, or if I make an appointment for next month with the Good doctor. I don't think I can handle fish Store smoke if I go Walk In. Not with my lungs starting to pancake batter. Or the traffic. Or looking at the likely dead fish and lndie record store as I do past.
I am so tired. I realized last night that I've started sounding a little like a rage infected from 28 days Later. If I do this, I'll have to go off my arthritis meds for most of a week. It's really starting to feel like worth it.
Anyway, I did do library, pharmacy, bank, Pay the Small Bill, and get fish food and the replacement for the scratchy thing ruined... was it last month?
I can barely move now. I'm mostly working at the news because bed prep is exhausting and I don't relish how bad my lungs will be when I lie down.
If I get any worse in the next couple hours I'm taking the pills. I can likely get away with first dose even with the arthritis meds in my system.
The Dentist was really long. They got me in the room on time, but there was a scheduling snafu. (They scheduled me for the wrong appointment type, so the hygienist was free, but the dentist was tied up). We did a fancy new whole mouth x-ray that really fucking hurt with my AS, but the pics were fascinating. After she took that and a bunch of extra small x-rays of my front teeth, we just sat and chatted.
She was my ageish with three adult kids (the youngest barely) and amazing hair. My chart lists me trans, so she barely even did a test question before getting into politics. She too is freaked out and furious at 45.
It was get another new dentist. This one I'm dubbing "The Blond." He was quick and competent and took that thing I've been having trouble with since they did the filling in the upper right back molar seriously. He's doing a revision and the usual small cavities from my meds. This will take me into early October.
