* I need to remind people of a few things because there seems to be some confusion about the things I post.
1. I do not necessarily agree with everything in every piece I link to. It should be self evident that even though I post a lot of news about 45, this should definitely not be taken as an endorsement of 45 or the Republican agenda broadly. Similarly, when I post a panel debate, it follows that rather agreeing with every side of the debate, I think the debate itself is important and/or that some of the things said in the debate are worth hearing. It would be weird if I agree with, say, three people with contradictory opinions at the same time. If you look at my body of work, you can probably infer which bots I agree with, but don't just cherry pick one obnoxious statement in a complex multi-party debate and ascribe that to me.
2. I can affirm the right of Israel to exist and generally support the Israeli left while disproving of Benjamin Netanyahu for his political opinions, actions, and likely corruption, the same way I disapprove of 45, Shinzo Abe, or any of the other far right asshole heads of state. I am capable of holding nuanced opinions about politics in another country without hating everyone who lives in it. For example, I am constantly furious about Australia's right wing government and their horrific human rights situation around refugees in the same way I am furious about my own right wing government's horrific human rights situation around refugees without hating Australians generally. I can dislike Angela Merkel's EU economic policies while supporting her long term stance on immigration and wish her luck against the rising fascist tide in elections all at the same time. I know tempers run hot around anything to do with Israel, but please do not ascribe to me views I don't hold and have never expressed, just because sometimes I post articles or debates around these issues.
3. No really, I have not endorsed any candidate in the Democratic primary, because it is way too fucking early. I'll likely let y'all know when I get there. I do reserve the right to comment on specific candidates and policies without that being a judgment on the candidate as a whole. I do sometimes express an opinion on a candidate as a whole *cough* Joe Biden *cough* but there is always a chance that will change between now and Spring of 2020 because all sorts of things can happen in that time. I do post a lot of coverage for a whole lot of candidates on purpose, because it's good to know what's out there and what is being discussed. Some days it will be a lot of one candidate because they ate the news cycle. It will hardly ever be all of them on one day because there are a fuckton of them. Again, presence or absence of a candidate in my social media output on a given day does not constitute proof I've picked a side. It's only March 2019, fucksake, people!
No, this is not aimed at any one person, it's just I'm noticing certain response trends.
* So I finally heard back from lung compressor people. They really lost my paperwork irrevocably, despite blithely billing Medicre every month. They need a fresh physician's order. I don't know how that went because crickets. This means Monday is erliest possible and I won't be able to leave the house on a weekday business hours until it comes. It also means no lung treatments for over a week by theearliest time they can get it to me.
Meanwhile the pollen count skyrocketted Wednesday. Which means on top of the drippy sinus stuff, My eyes hurt. A lot. And film over. Yes, I'm at maximum meds. yes, i'm filtering. The eye injured a few weeks ago took it 10x worse. By Thurdsay night it was like being stabbed at random. I had to wear an eye patch as that was the only way to endure it. So that was fun. It's also why posting pattern has been atypical.
I kept getting medical phone calls in the few hours I had to sleep, so I'm not at my best even if the damp has tamped down the allergy situation to annoying instead of dire.
I know I've been sucking at world news of late, because hit's been so wild here in the US. I'll be trying to catch some of it up this weekend.
