If Susan Collins is your Senator, please contact her to demand she support a complete end to the shutdown instead of just for Homeland Security. These are our best bets so far as I can tell. If you have a Republican senator, especially one up for re-election in 2020, now is a good time to protest.

* I got about three hours of sleep because I had no choice but to get food, since most of the things my stomach is currently accepting were missing at least one ingredient. This was bad because this was day two of what is turning out to be an impressively bad AS flare. Gas first, then what turned out to be an exhausting and not particularly useful forage. Then the North loop for restocking of basic ingredients, then local grocery for a couple things they don't have at the cheap, ethical grocery store. Then home where I had to gimp it all in myself one armed, since squirrel was having radical insomnia and it wouldn't be right to wake him when he'd finally just managed sleep. Then to put it all away. I also unthreaded the outside lights and moved the gourd display so the Imperial couple could sit in their favorite bird watching spot. Then I had online commitments. Next to nothing besides got done. Apologies.
