gwydion* The Syrian government continues to claim that their ongoing genocide against the Sunni is completely in compliance with the ceasefire. The shelling of hospitals and civilian neighborhoods continue. Also, there has been another massacre of civilians by a government militia.
* They are having anti-African race riots in Tel Aviv. The government is responding to this is to plan to deport the victims back to war zones in Sudan, South Sudan, and Eritrea.
* This does a good job of explaining why the anti-abortion bill in the House is toxic. Basically, they want to be able to interrogate Doctors for the reasons for every single abortion performed and if the Doctor can't prove it was for a reason Congress agrees with there are horrible penalties. * So remember way back when the Edwards case got started, when I said it that while it is clear what happened was sleazy and unethical, I wasn't sure if it was illegal? Well, they acquitted him on one count and were hung on all the others, so it's mostly a mistrial. I guess the jury wasn't sure either.
* Buddy Roemer, my favorite of the Republican primary field dropped out today.
* If any of you are interested, both the trans candidate for Miss Canada and the trans candidate for Miss England didn't win. Making it to the semi-finals is still progress. I say that despite my deep misgivings with the whole Beauty Pageant concept. My feeling is, if we are going to have them all women should have a chance to compete, no just the cis women.
* Hector's been having a bad mental health day, but the meds worked so he can eat and sleep. Half an hour ago, he crawled into my lap and fell asleep, this despite his phobia.
