* Squirrel was kind enough to snag me a parking spot when the partygoers when home, but I had to take a friend home from work Saturday night and really was forced to park a mile and a half away up the steep and treacherous hill, lugging my gallon of Halloween cider with me. Sunday, I had intended to go check on the cats I am meant to be sitting in the evening, even though their human only left in the morning, but I'd have to have walked there and back, since the parking was no better. Sunday-wee hours Monday, I had computer connectivity drama, wich means I was about a third as productive as normal. It's all right, I thought, I can catch part of it up after forage.
Bwahahaha! No. The Internet is still sporadic and I expect to give up and go to bed soon. I did manage to finish my MUSH app to Marsikalos at least, since I was down to the writy bits which I could upload in the two goo hours I got just before dawn. (I managed to work around it and post tumblr in bursts, but it really slowed me the fuck down). Also, I lost the whole of Monday evening for entirely stupid reasons.
I was good today, walking over to gove them pettins and goosh and scoop their box. They were terribly glad to see me, poor things, though I couldn't stay as long as they or I would have liked, what with forage. The walk over ate about half of the steps I had for the day. Forage was not good, but there is nothing to be done. There was no parking at pharmacy or library, so I did post office first on the grounds that I was already tired and I needed to conserve my standing time for things like dinner and putting away forage. For a miracle there was a spot there, so I got the Balls my sister sent for my birthday. Library was still full, but a spot opened in the Pharmacy/Clinic supplemental lot, so I got my meds, and there were two spots at the library third try. Miraculously, the temp tag people were gone so I could park in the best spot, finally which I really was grateful for, not being sure how many days i could manage if I couldn't even get street parking anymore. I put forage away; fed fish, plants, cats and me; changed a tank; and decanted kibble into the canisters.
I was attempting to deal with a litter bag I really should have gotten Squirrel to help with when I broke my toe in half again. Sigh. Which hurts like Motherfucker, of course and meant I got to spend all evening in the ER. This was the least gruesome of the times I broke a toe in half, but it really fucking hurts if I do basically anything except stay still with it elevated. Squirrel has kindly agreed to do goosh and litters for the boys tomorrow, so at least I've not got that to cope with. I was amused by the nurse who was sure I was being dramatic when I said I'd snapped the bone. Her: So what was it? Me: It was broken. she was cool though and helped me attempt to summon a cab. Which meant another hour and a half in the ER waiting room, since two cabs were having car trouble. Amazingly though, Insurance paid for the cab, and I got a really cool my ageish Native American Driven who is as freaked out about the fascism as I am.
Gods, we need to win this election.
