1. According to Chris Christie, President Obama traveled back in time to 1971, to invite Russia into Syria.
2. According to Carly Fiorina, the President went back to 2003 to somehow force a general to quit because he didn’t like something the General said after he retired? Or something?
No, they didn't actually mention a time machine, but how else could ten year old Obama or state Senator Obama have caused these things to happen?

I've been thinking about W. Kamau Bell's call for white people to say that Donald Trump is embarrassing to be as a white person, and he certainly is making white people look bad, but he's not the only embarrassment to me as a white person and an American I'm seeing on a regular basis. Frankly, with a few exceptions like Lindsey Graham (who recently made a beautiful statement against Trumps disgusting embarrassing nativism), pretty much all of the Republican candidates for President this year. I cringe at the level of ignorance and bigotry on display. Please, please, please Donald Trump, et al, stop showing your whole asses and making all of us look like ignorant shit stains to our fellow Americans and the rest of the world.

* I actually managed the key elements on the Wednesday to do list. Forage happened. I put meds and library off on the grounds that tonight was present making night. There is something deeply demoralizing about making three batches of cookies and not being able to eat any. I did meringues for mailing, as they are light and stay fresh in a tin longer, and did the classic butterscotches you put preserves on for locals, using the yolks. Tomorrow we wrap tins and they mail early Friday. I'm so tired.
