* Republicans today successfully filibustered equal pay for equal work as part of their massive anti-women agenda this year. Every single republican in the Senate voted against fairness on the grounds that it would help Middle class families and only Corporations count as people any more.

* Mitt Romney held a fundraiser tonight in a place decorated with Hitler's paintings and a sign copy of Mein Kampf. No, I'm not making it up.

* Mitt Romney wants to remind you that in his case, you shouldn't count his first year in office as governor as he inherited a bad economy and it takes time for his policies to take effect, but in the President's case, you should not only count the first year despite him taking over when the economy is in free fall, but you should count figures from before he was inaugurated. Pick a standard Mr. Romney.

* It looks like the Koch Brothers, Mr. Adelson, and Foster "Asprin between your knees" Freeze have successfully bought the Wisconsin elections, Republicans having out spent Democrats 7 to 1, thus paving the way for permanent one party rule for Republicans on behalf of corporations forever. Why forever? Citizens United allows Corporations to spend unlimited funds on buying elections, and Scott Walker has outlawed Unions in Wisconsin, and Unions are they only ones who can come close to matching corporate funds in elections. All Republicans need to do is export the model Nationally, along with Florida voter suppression methods and Michigan Financial Martial Law to kill Democracy in the US forever.

* It's looking like Sandusky may have written love letters and given presents to the children he raped. They think the trial proper may start next week.

* I should have gone to deal with bureaucracy today, but I opted for rest given how exhausting yesterday was. Tomorrow just got more annoying, as I logged on to the library system to check due dates and discovered that they changed the system so I can't log on without talking to a librarian and of course I discovered this after the library closed. Sigh. Tomorrow's errands are now: 1. SSI office to get paper for other bureaucracy. 2. Buy Crackers, goosh, and medicinal tea. 3. Drop bureaucracy off at two offices. 4. Library to fix it so I can log into my account again. 5. Make something for the Big Gay Potluck.

* Now that I've seen Hawkeye referred to as Male Katniss, I can't unsee it.

* Not only in the Justice Department investigating the systematic torture of autistic children at a school in Massachusetts, but the UN point person on torture is calling for a Human Rights abuse investigation. * Dead Cat Archeopteryx: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2154283/Cats-away-Artist-turns-dead-pet-flying-helicopter-killed-car.html* Remember the Snoqualamie ice cream

* Everything took two to three times as long as it needed to today, including me getting out of the house and a half hour wait at the Pharmacy for a simple pick up (Line didn't even move the first fifteen minutes). I ended up missing the bureaucracy window. I'm exhausted and it's all to do again tomorrow. I'm hemorrhaging money this month, which is not helping.

* The Big Gay Potluck was a mixed bag. There was nothing for me to eat except a few cheese and crackers and desserts as the rest was all meat. For serious, not even a salad. Also, it turns out the guy I thought I might be interested in with more exposure is indeed bi, but is seven months in to what he hopes will be a life time thing. I am glad for him, but sad for my chances of getting laid in the near future. I spent the evening charming some older guys and the conversation was interesting. Sex stuff under here: )

* We are far enough north there was still a little light, so I puttered around my pathetic garden a bit. The gladiolas are growing well. The asparagus are disappointing as to number, but what was growing is still growing. I see signs the tomatoes and a few of the lilies are growing, but nothing from the freesia and the rest of the lilies. I'm worried the lavender is dead. We'll see.

* Remember that Snoqualamie Ice Cream taste test I'm doing? This month's flavour was Mountain Blackberry. It's interesting, and certainly edible, but not to my taste really. It's just a little too weird in a way I can't articulate. Lavender remains my favorite flavour.

* I'm up to twenty followers on Tumblr, most of whom are strangers. I continue to be baffled that people find my journal at all, let alone friend it.
