* Traditionally, fire inspection starts on our end of our floor of our building, meaning only a few hours of low quality sleep in clothes. This time they started at the far end of the far buildings so we were last on our floor. Poor Squirrel stayed up until about an hour before they hit our building, poor thing, round about 1PM. I did get some proper sleep after, but not nearly enough. I still have stuff I need to sort/organize before the end of the month, but the worst is over. The cats hate the screamers at least as much as I do, though Tavy at least knows that if it's quiet a certain length of time. Poor sweet Kaiju Kitten was in hiding for hours, just in case. I don't blame her.

The Net Neutrality link's out of date: the bill's already passed the Senate, but still needs to pass the House and according to what I last saw on that, we need at least 25 Rs to join all Ds to pull that off. Heads or tails, Trump probably vetoes it. Likely dead in the water unless one of his rich billionaire buddies somehow convinces him to sign off on it *cue the part where I'm not holding my breath*
