* 45, who hates our soldiers and veterans so much that he mocked John McCain for being a PoW, singled out a gold star family for persistent cruelty and harassment last year, and is trying to inciting nuclear war with North Korea knowing full well how deadly that will be for South Koreans and our troops there for funzies, and who has verbally shat on veterans at every turn, yet still claims to be the arbiter of all things patriotic and especially what isn't and isn't respectful during the national anthem, just slandered President Obama today, lying that even though he personally signed condolences, called families of dead soldiers, and met with as many as he could, somehow he never called any. We know that whenever 45 accuses someone of something, it means he did it. He also said today that he totally did this stuff and it will be "going out tonight." So basically he is the lazy one and is lying that President Obama is as lazy as he himself, which is obviously bullshit. Again. Sigh. It's not the first Amendment that is, as 45 insists "disgusting;" it is 45.

For the record I am simultaneously in the always bring home PoWs if possible camp AND the he absolutely deserves prison for desertion camp, an opinion shared my the last of my ex-marine friends in my social circle.
(I have over the years had friends in all four branches plus the coast guard. I had a lover who was army who died. Most of these friends are dead or drifted now, but I have some left. My Uncle who just died was in the military helping people just returned from Vietnam. My grandfather was WWII naval intelligence. I had relatives in all our countryโs wars from Vietnam back to the revolution. I mention this as my politics may lead to some assumptions about my background).
* I got a really fascinating Rasmussen poll tonight. They asked the usual demographic stuff and the obligatory right direction/wrong direction/economic/how is the President doing stuff, that some poll asks at lest every quarter, but this one included workplace sexual harassment, Bowe Bergdahl, and a number of other things. I will be fascinated to see the results when they are published.

* It would be super helpful if people writing about George R. R. Martin's writing would not chose titles that make it look like he'd just died. It gave me a terrible jolt when I logged on today. Just saying. Jesus fuck, people, pay attention to what you are writing.
