* 5 people dead and approximately 600 are injured in Egypt as Morsey has sent in the army along with tanks against Democracy protesters. It’s heartbreaking and my heart is with the moderates who are desperate for a secular constitution and a real chance at moving their country forwards.

* 75% of the crops in Compestela have been flattened. They are still pulling injured survivors and the dead from the rubble. The death toll continues to rise. My parents met George Takei and he signed a book he wrote for them at a Japanese American Citizen's League meeting in San Jose. They said he was a very humble, very nice man, and that he could not stand William Shatner, whom he said was an arrogant, mean SOB.
