* The Syrian government is back to shelling civilian neighborhoods in Homs and other cities, claiming that it is all the fault of imaginary terrorists who did some imaginary bombings. The people being killed by tanks and artillery are not imaginary.

Basically, Romney's claiming stay at home parents who aren't born rich need to get out so they can "have the dignity of work." Why is being a mother the hardest job in the world for rich women, but he's claiming it's not work if the woman is raising the same children without benefit of nannies, maids, cooks to help? It seems a pretty fucked up standard to me.

* I can't tell how much of the crappiness is from the antibiotics, how much from me not being able to afford antihistamines, and how much is from not being able to sleep properly because I can't afford antihistimines. It's really not good.

* Game of Thrones thoughts
1. I was a little bummed out the only gay sex scene so far had no actual gay sex in it. We get plenty of straight banging, can't the boys get a little love? Sigh.
2. What sleep I had last night was infested with Lanisters. I woke up realizing what is missing for me from the GoT world: ambient music. I know this sounds weird, but bear with me. I grew up with medieval music. (My Father had a large collection in a bunch o languages). There ought to be music at feasts, at religious ceremonies, lullabies for the young and sick, people singing for each other as entertainment of an evening or to make work go faster. I know it's not in the books and so the show is silent, but music is part of culture, and now that I've noticed the silence, it kind of weirds me out.
