As it turns out, I appear to be really sick. Sore throat, chest cough, stuffy head and sinuses, achy, feverish, and rather alarming sharp pains in places there shouldn't be. (There are places I expect sharp pains. These aren't them). I'm rather impressively non-functional, really. My temp was low enough to alarm the nurse at the Doctor's Friday morning, which means normal for me, so it moved fast. I was only abe to manage, a nap, not a full sleep as I was hoping, as the coughing woke me up. I lounged around with the cats reading about sex, death, and mammoths, then watched an episode of the wire. I'm trying to sort out some food, as the meds I took when I woke should be digested. There were rumors of a cold front moving in. Certainly, it went from too warm for a coat Spring weather to pissing down cold rain and wind like it was November when I was at the Doctor's.

We're reupping my hormones Monday, which means I really need to lay in a bunch of protein next week. We're trying to balance out things like my allergy to my natural hormones on one side and the tendency for my blood to go scary viscous on the other. I was expecting a raising of the doses again. I can feel it's too low, though it's hard to put into words what it feels like.

Alas, I do not think I even possess cooking wine at the moment, let alone Drambuie or single malt whiskey.

I hope this balancing gets straightened out for you. I feel like we're still working out my "ideal" dose, and I'm almost at 4.5 years without a lot of extraneous health problems... It really is tricky.

I actually suspect we're going to settle out here or close to here in the long run. I'm not stressed over it. the hair thing is much harder.
