gwydion* It amuses me that there is now a sizable segment of the electorate who are wondering why, given the "frothy residue" meaning of "santorum," Rick Santorum didn't change his name before running for president. *facepalm*
* I'm with John Stewart on how cruel and inappropriate it is for CNN to cold call folks at 5 AM. Someone calls me at 5AM, I assume someone's dead or dying. I have no words for how fucking rotton it is to cold call a Kennedy at 5AMish to ask how she felt when they shot her Father. WTF?!? Hiw little empathy do you have to have to think that's a good idea? Same for pranking some poor immigrant bastard by waking him up at that time of morning pretending to be the FBI. It's not hilarious, unless you have no fucking soul, and yet there they were laughing their asses off. WTF, CNN, wtf?!?
* Today Greenwick hung the racks, and we unloaded the tall book shelf, turned it around so it doesn't lean, and reloaded it. All the spices and extracts are safe, out of the way, and easy to find. There are still four unpack and sort jobs left, all of them complicated. I still need to figure out how to store the bulky Halloween stuff. The apartment is mostly there though.
I don't know if I mentioned, but it's looking like they only cut my food stamps by a third instead of in half, which is a big help.
* The cats have been eerily quiet and well behaved for two nights in a row. I am trying to decide if they are sick or up to something.
* To be clear, I am not an arachnophobe, and I just generally like spiders as they kill pests and make pretty webs. Still, having one lower itself from the kitchen ceiling about two centimeters from the surface of my right eye was rather a startle.
* Y'all know I'm no fan of Dan Savage's. He remains a racist and is a real dick to asexuals, and while he's recently reversed his anti-trans position, he's never apologized.
