* I went to bed very early, as I'm still icky. Read most of a Sharpe today, then went back to work on the unpacking. I'm at the point where everything is at its most chaotic and to do anything, including cooking, I must move a bunch of other things. It's fiddly and exhausting. I keep having to re-clean and sort areas I've already done.

The cats are grumpy about having to pioneer new mests most days, but are mostly settled, even Mache, who not being much for the jumping and climbing, has found a collection of stable spots, unlike the others.

I still haven't found the damned router and it'd getting urgent.

* I still miss calling Mom every week, though I've finally stopped seeing something she'd find interesting and starting the thought, "I should remember to mention... Oh. Right. Fuck." You might think we were close because I live 3000 miles away from where she lived, and I couldn't visit often, but we were. I still miss her, but there is no fixing that.

That's exactly how I'd feel if I lost my Mom. She frustrates me at times, yes, but I'll sorely miss the phone calls. I'll see a strange bird over the reservoir, or hear an old song, and she knows what I'm talking about. *hugs*

Perhaps the cats have ganged up and hidden the router?
