gwydion* The Syrian government responded to the funeral for a child they murdered, by gunning down the morners at his funeral, this killing most of his family.
* I am broadly sympathetic to the financial protests, but I don't see how closing the ports helps their cause. It just looks like taking money from people who work hard for a living just before expensive holidays to me. My feeling is, that the Unions have been generally supportive of the movement and harming their members against the wishes of the Unions themselves looks rather rude, at least from here. I do not understand why, if they are angry at Goldman-Sachs why they don't just target them directly. I'm not being ingenuous, and I am happy if any of you can explain how it does.
* I did a bunch of small stuff shuffling around early in the evening yesterday, then for late night did some heavy lifting. The issue was that the boxes were piled where I needed to put book shelves. In the moving, I found the box with the missing spices. It's not that I didn't find two other boxes worth of spices, but the garlic remained MIA. Can you picture my cooking without garlic? *shudder* The result is it's nearly impossible to get around, but I'm starting the next phase, wherein I put things on book shelves. The cats "helped" by trying to sit wherever I was trying to move stuff. I was getting ready for my bath when I realized I'd stacked the wrong boxes in my room. *facepalm* I'm terribly sick of this fever. Every time I get to working it reignites.
