* Thanks to a generous meds donation, we wormed Tavy Button today. It was his first pill and he's only had the medicine finger a couple of times. he still fought like a demon. I managed to pin him on the bed and Squirrel pilled the poor Puggle. I had just changed the sheets, so the bed was a large field of flat black on which a pill would be easy to spot and my floor is easy to sweep wood laminate. I held him and did the throat stroke for a couple of minutes and we played with him on the bed for another five, and no sign of him having pulled Mache's old trick of hiding it under her tongue and spitting it out when we weren't looking. hard as he fought the actual pilling, he took it really well. No sulking, no hiding after. Watched me make and eat dinner, had his shoulder pet. As I type this, he's asleep in his cat cage, snuggled up with my legs in characteristic fashion. We will do LM in a day or two as she is a tad under the weather and there is less urgency since they no longer share litter and only interact on goosh day.
I suspect he came with worms, as it's super common in rescues and we haven't had them since we rescued Hector and Mache at the turn of the century. In retrospect, he was periodically making the worm smell, but since it was over a decade and a half I'd forgotten that that was the worm smell. I'll change all his litters tonight, but I'm not wanting to disturb a sleeping Tiny Terror after his bad experience.
