* Before polls were even closed in NY 26th, the Republicans had received a court injunction barring official certification of a winner. This is a gerrymandered republican district designed to prevent democrats from ever winning in a mostly democratic state. The election matters as it's seen as a referendum on the Ryan budget and republican plans to dismantle medicare. It matters because it's looking like a democrat won a congressional election in the reddist of red districts because people didn't want to lose their health care.

* There's a Seattle station that's been showing old hartnell doctor Whos. I've missed them here or there, so I haven't seen the whole run so far, but I've seen quite a few. I'm old school Who, but they didn't show 1 or 2 on the stations I grew up with. I've mentioned before that the little I've seen of Two, left me rather taken with his mischievous character design. I hadn't a strong opinion on Hartnell as up until recently, I'd only seen one mediocre storyline. I have an opinion, and it's blasphemous. I don't like him. yeah, I said it. It was hard to put my finger one, but turned out to me a collection of small things. I know this likely seems petty, but there are verbal mannerisms that annoy me, and part of that is how he handles being untrustworthy. he always does the same delivery when he's being misleading and it;'s about as transparent as a three year old trying to conceal that ze ate the cookie or drew on the wall. it's a little too precious for me and the oposite of what two does.
