* Eman Alabidi has escaped Libya and is safe. I'm so relieved.

* Pakistan has leaked the name of our CIA section chief over there in retaliation for us violating their sovereignty. I'm thinking it could have been a lot worse, really.

* Today, I spent all sleep cycle in the living room, so got crap for sleep. I did get the package I was waiting for, but the tradeswoman I was expecting never came. It's rescheduled, but I missed out on something like 4-6 hours of good sleep over it. Then my glasses snapped randomly while I was reading. Of course it's no longer covered with budget cuts. Of course, they can't just replace the frames. Of course, I couldn't find by back up glasses with the previous prescription or the set before those. I spent a couple hours looking, but finally gave up and bodged them together with duct tape for now. Tomorrow, I'll be driving around trying to sort it. *facepalm* This is all unnecessarily expensive.

Hector has responded by howling at be for four hours. As I was typing this, he overturned a table with key electronics on it.

* Some pretty important things about male privilege and female anger: http://shakespearessister.blogspot.com/2009/08/terrible-bargain-we-have-regretfully.html

* Chicago Code disappointed me on a number of counts tonight. I'll give them back half the points I just docked them if Caleb turns out to be actually gay, but I'm not holding my breathe there and I'm now feeling a bit queasy I'd been liking them so much.
