* I completely failed to bureaucracy today. I barely managed to drag myself out to my regular doctor appointment. I DID wear my spiffy new purple birthday socks with the Katniss inspired arrows on them out for the first time. When I got there, it was a strange nurse instead of one of my usuals, and she was training a new hire. I did tell her the amoxicillin hadn't worked and I had taken them all as of today, and she said she'd ask the doctor, but there was the thing with the trainee, who I let practice on my and I had to explain some surgery stuff and.... I walked out without a different family of antibiotic. Sigh.
* On the way home I stopped at the discount grocery store across from the family planning clinic and the asshole protesters were out parading with a massive fake fetus picture. The store did not have the thing I wanted (discount off brand tofurkey loaf), but the same brand makes chick'n patties I decided to try. So I'm loading my car and the asshole misogynists start screaming filth at a 50ish lady on my side of the street who just fucking wanted to use the grocery store. She starts yelling back and I step up right next to her and start yelling my support for Planned Parenthood too in support of here. "Planned Parenthood saves lives! I'm alive because of Planned Parenthood!" Which is true. They are the ones who called nearly every surgeon in town to find one who'd take payment on installment to remove Herberton, my tumor colony the approximate size and shape of my brain. There's a good chance they saved me on an earlier occasion as well. I any case, I'd be dead about a decade if they weren't there. Seriously, fuck Right to Life and their poor people should be forced to die of cancer for Jesus agenda. We ended with a round of alternating "Fuck yous!" in response to theirs. I took my cart back and passed her on her way in, giving her a big smile and a hello on the way back, and she reciprocated. No one should have to face down misogynistic protesters alone.
Why were asshole Christians harassing Grocery Outlet Customers for Jesus and accusing them of being murderers? Only Right to Life knows. They do it a lot, and every time they try to set up their anti-choice protest on the Grocery Outlet property, the store calls the cops on them for trespassing, and they aren't allowed on Planned Parenthood property, so they are forced to harass people going into and out of both establishments from the side walk.
