* There is a lot of advertising here attacking Puerto Rico right now. (I have no idea how it is in other states.) They've had a catastrophic drought there the last couple of years, and while it's not as scary bad as it was a few months ago, they are still struggling. It got crap for coverage here on the mainland, and surprise! (not) tourist areas got priority for water, so it's quite possible you haven't heard about it. Kicking them when they are down is a shitty thing to do, and some of the advertising I've seen seems to be coded Racist stuff, which seems awfully suspicious given how much energy the Republicans are putting into attacking Latinos this election season. Look, I'm not an expert in this area, but it looks pretty red flaggy to me on a number of fronts, so please, when you see these adverts take them with a handful of salt, and expend a little compassion for an island full of people who've been experiencing a serious climate based disaster.

* ...And I forgot to figure in postage, mailing material, and fees, when working out the money. I'm short. Fuck! I need to do another batch. On the upside everyone paid promptly and the money is moving. My plan is to pay the housing tax and hope insurance works out my months end.

I don't watch tv anymore, but it sounds like they're "dehumanizing" Puerto Rico to cut off sympathy beofr the final fleecing.
