* Last night Tavy discovered the joys of Hector's old cat tree, including his beloved top pearch, but also the cave he stopped using not long after I got it for him as LM used to ambush him coming out. (She was younger then. These days she only goes up there once or twice a year to show she has a right to be there as she hates jumping). Said cave is a cat toy storage area these days, so this has been quite the bonanza for Tavy.
Hiss radius seems down to 1-2 feet, though mesting radius is much wider, and there are occasional fights. The conflict looks like working out the dynamics conflict rather than trying to get rid of the intruder fighting.
* The Rush Hour reboot seemed to be pretty much what it said on the tin. I last saw the original when the sequel came out, so my memory is a bit vague as to the details of the first movie, but they managed to squeeze the bones of it into a one hour including commercials premiere, and transpose the dynamic of the original on to two different actors. It remains to be seen if it will work in the long haul, but it is a perfectly reasonable abridgement for the pilot, if that makes sense.
* We are up to 7100+ on historically accurate sexism. O.o
* I have this this about Billy holiday, so it should be no surprise that I found the Audra McDonald promotional bits for Lady Day at the Emerson Bar and Grill eerie and heartbreaking all at once. I finally got to see it now a broadcast version is available. I'm still weeping and raw. It is so painful and beautiful and rip you to shreds right. Damn.
