So Sunday I was short sleeped for a scheduled scene, went to bed for a nap, got up and did necessary things plus the Black Sails stuff. I went to bed early knowing I was going to be short sleeped for forage, etc.. Yes, it's the wrong day for forage, but I would have had to get up for bureaucracy anyway and the people I forage with are busy Wednesday. I was too sick to sleep well, plus various things I had no control of kept happening including poor wee Hector having his third stroke in two weeks on top of me. Which is bad. I know full well he is dying; it is just a matter of how quickly. Each stroke takes another little slice of him away. Really all he wants to do lately is be on or next to me most of the time. I've been late to a lot of things the last two months because I haven't the heart to move him once he settles in for a purr and a cuddle. I did manage a nap, but after an attempted feeding I gave up and we just did pettins until it was time to get ready to go to bureaucracy. The post came as I was putting on my shoes with another heart breaking package from my Uncle that I'll need to deal with tomorrow.

I was heading out in good time when I spotted a massive amount of water in the hall. Like, burst pipe, leaking water heater amounts. Rather than go back and possibly get bogged down under cat, I figured the management office is in the direction of forage, so I did the small errands and bureaucracy before going to pick up Greenwick. I was actually early as there was no line at bureaucracy and they'd streamlined things since last time. Yay! Forage went well and I even remembered to report the water, which turned out to be a good thing. Someone else had spoted it earlier and phoned it in as a suspected dog puddle. My reporting it as an actual emergancy meant they got right on it instead of sending cleaning staff, likely tommorrow. *shuuder* This was the last good luck of the day. I got home after library. Squirrel and I sorted forage, then I went to do some gardening that really needed doing and my lungs, figuring I'd eat after, sweet summer child. I was trapped under hector post lungs when there was a knock on the door. It was the nice lady from he management office asking questions about squirrel's plumbing. The theory was it was the crappy ass plastic tubing connecting the fridges we had replaced when we moved in, but there is a chance it is Squirrel's bathroom. He couldn't find any water, but there's a chance of people trooping through. They were waiting for reinforcements to move that guy's fridge. the could come this evening or tomorrow if the problem isn't next door fridge.

At this point I'd done all that exhausting stuff and was stomach growling hungry. My plans to eat and do kitchen floor and dishes after got reversed. I set Squirrel to cleaning his room, which he totally worked on despite being not doing well physically to the point of having called in sick the night before. I got to cleaning the kitchen. There is more to do, but by the time I got to making food, I kept losing control of one of my legs, which hurts like you wouldn't believe and the leg goes limp at random while I'm walking. So i had the good meds with dinner. Now, I'm supposed to be doing the dishes squirrel brought out of his room, and cleaning the tank that was scheduled for today and doing more kitchen organizing, but i am very tired and don't trust my body at all.

And hector is sleeping and if I move I wake him and all I want to do is weep. Squirrel's promised to do more of his room cleaning when he gets home. I am freaked out about Hector who I love more than anyone and what happens when the tax bill comes. Why does everything have to be so damned exhausting?

" Why does everything have to be so damned exhausting?" Because sometimes life just IS, my friend, unfortunately. * HUGS * I am glad you are getting that plumbing mess sorted out.
