* The neighbors are using so much electricity on the kitchen circuit that even with everything else off including the fish and the lights, we can not use the micro wave or the hot shot. I assumed it was a party food situation on the 31st, but it's ongoing problem. I just wanted some warm tea. Assholes!

I've started the Gothmas breakdown, a slow process that eats my living room, as I put things away carefully, organized for next year and so many things are fragile. Squirrel says he will miss the Gothmas trees. I need way more bulbs for the lights for next year at the rate originals are burning out on Halloween and solstice Sets.

Why does your apartment share /any/ circuit with the neighbors? Are the fish and such usually on the kitchen circuit as well? If not, turning them off should have no effect on whether that circuit works, unless the people wiring the place did something especially crazy. (which they might have, see also sharing a circuit with another apartment.)

In either case, you may need to talk to the building maintenance people, because that could indicate a more serious problem with the circuit.

The wiring here was done by the same shady contractor who messed up the foundations and so fucked up the exerior walls and roof that it all had to be torn out and redone and also put in door levers that break off in your hand. As far as I can tell from summer outages there are four sets of wiring that run parallel longwise through all the apartments on my side. The refridgerator and oven seem to be a seperate thing. The kitchen bathroom set also controls the office tank. The central set does the water tank and the interior side of the bedrooms. The third one does the exterior side of the bedrooms and main room. In the summer we lose the exterior set a lot because of airconditioners and fans over loading the system and the kitchen/bathroom, I'm guessing for interior fans.

In the summer I often managed to use the microwave if I left fans, lights, and fish off. not normally a problem. Maybe every one decided to do laundry at once and/or run space heaters and/or use all their kitchen appliances at the same time? In Winter it's not usually a problem; it's a serious hassle all summer.
